Not-So-White Holiday Movie Favs.
"I'm a cotton-headed ninny-muggins."
First time I ever saw this movie was at the premier in LA, It was seriously an experience. The building was packed with people from all over Hollywood, and the actors walked the red carpet. Noah managed to score us tickets through a mutual friend from school. The comedic gold aspects of this movie I swear. Tickles me every single time I see it. It is honestly a MUST SEE movie every Christmas. Also, If you've ever seem=n this movie and STILL HAVE NOT TRIED SPAGHETTI AND SYRUP, TRY IT!
"When I grow up and get married I'm living alone! Did you hear me? I'm living alone! I'm living alone! I'm living alone!"
I remember growing up the Motels my mom would drag me back and fourth too would always play These movies for the holidays, on Repeat. Its almost nostalgic every year. You would say its almost a tradition to watch them. The first three are sooo good, from the nostalgic Macaulay Culkin, to the little boy with the toy car who has chicken pox! Gosh, I don't think there will ever be a Christmas we don't watch these movies. Even, My children will watch these movies. If I ever have any hehehehe.
"you're right, I always choose dare, Now it's time for my truth"
I saw this movie recently on Hulu and it hit home a little. Because I know this amaezyng woman, and boy does she touch my heart in ways I could have never imagined. But we always seem to miss our chances. Just like this movie, a year would go by and they would always miss their chances to be together, they're soul mates and deserve one another. This girl, I think she's my soul mate. But like I've said I never get the chance to find out. Maybe our movie will end like this one did.
"Seeing is believing, but sometimes the most real things in the world are the things we can't see"
This movie here holds an safe spot in my heart forever, always. Believing I a word I tend to live by. Seeing is believing and Believing is seeing. It taught me at a young age that not only does this saying apply to Santa Claus and Christmas, but also almost every aspect of real life. believe in love, believe in life, believe in trust and faith and hope. I spent a lot of time losing hope in life. losing hope of ever believing anything was better for myself. But I was given a second chance to believe and to see just like the little boy in this movie.
"Forget about holding her hand, man. Think about the damage he could do to other places."
Now this isn't necessarily a Christmas movie, but it does take place around that season. Plus, who doesn't enjoy a nostalgic misunderstood johnny depp. This movie gives you an insight that love comes in all shapes and forms. That sometimes even in love you can make sacrifices and compromise. Being a misunderstood person is relatively relate-able. Like myself, many take a look at me and think, oh scruffy, dirty, probably does drugs, but nah, that is not me at all. I'm quite a misunderstood person. Sometimes I don't know how to express myself, and end up hurting people or myself in the long run.
