Story of v - Chapter 4

Story of v - chapter 4
The male now known as Ian moved up close behind Veronica and brought his lips to her ear. "You belong somewhere beautiful, but it isn't in here." He whispered softly upon her earlobe, she could feel his warm breath. Veronica flinched; "Don't do that." She scolded and in return, he smirked and snickered quietly to himself.

The line was now moving forward and the emerald green-haired girl was getting closer to her turn at the window. Ian leaned in one more time, right before she was about to step up. "I can't wait to hear from you tonight." He spoke loud enough for all to hear, his voice a bit husky along with his Scottish accent. Veronica rolled her eyes and shook her head, thinking about elbowing him the gut and wondering what he meant by that. But instead, she just ignored him and never did respond.

"Next." The woman called behind the glass window to dispense medications and Veronica stepped up. "Right wrist please?" The woman requested and Veronica did as she asked. The woman scanned a bar code on a plastic bracelet she was wearing. A few seconds later, a small medicine cup was placed through a slot along with a paper cup of water. "Um... what are these called?" Veronica asked curiously, and the woman looked at her with a crooked eye. "You wouldn't know what they were even if I told you." She answered, and pointed to the pills."Take them... or we will make you take them." She said in a mouthy manner and Veronica glared at her for a moment, but was a good girl and took them as instructed. They both smiled at each other like teenage girls do when they are two-faced, and then she walked back off to her seat and plopped down upon the love-seat.

Minutes later an orderly approached Veronica. "Sister Withers would like to see you." He said and she looked up at him and groaned. "Let's go." He said and grabbed her by the arm, she instantly yanking her arm away from his grip. "Don't fvcking touch me." She growled at him, snarling, and then got up from her seat and followed him. Out through the double doors and back through many curving hallways. He led her to a black door that looked very old and it was carved into a strange design she couldn't make out. But, it reminded her of a design she had seen before in a book. A book from her coven.

The man in white opened the heavy door for her and Veronica entered cautiously, him following in right behind her closely. She walked in and stood in front of a large black marble desk, where Sister Withers was sitting... going through some files that lay stacked upon her desk. "Yes, Veronica Blackwood. Have a seat." She insisted and motioned with her hand to a leather chair sitting before her desk. Veronica glanced at the seat, then back at the Sister, locking eyes with her as she finally took a seat. Sister Withers took a seat as well and cleared her throat.

"Do you know where you are Veronica?" She asked, clicking her ink pen. "Yeah, the fvckin' whack house." She replied rudely. The woman tilted her head and gave her a look. "I guess you can say that, yes. But actually, this institution is called The Whittingham Asylum for the Criminally Insane." She explained, but Veronica was starting to feel very strange. Her vision was beginning to blur and her skin was feeling fuzzy. "Huh?" She said softly and the nun began jotting down something onto a note pad.

"You are here because you murdered your father and kidnapped your mother and brother. Are you even aware of these actions?" She asked. Veronica started twirling a strand of hair around her index finger. "Yep... I am aware of my actions. Now tell me something I don't know." She said in a cocky tone. "What you don't know Veronica, is if you fvck around in here, it won't be pleasant for you." She said grinning at her. "Whoa... nice language sista." She said beginning to laugh. Veronica was feeling loopy now and kind of high from the medication. "You know what Sister, go fvck yourself." She said laughing loud and hard.

The woman then stood up from her leather office chair and walked around her desk, right up to Veronica. "Stupid girl." The sister muttered and slapped Veronica across the face. Veronica gasped; "You fvcking bitch!" She yelled and once again before she could even get up the orderlies were on her. Veronica began screaming and kicking and fighting. The men then carried her out of the office forcefully. Being bitten and clawed and hit along the way. They took her to a small room and slammed and locked the door behind them.

"Get off of me you a'ssholes!" She screamed and continued to fight and struggle... but, it was no use. They then took her and strapped her down to a bed. Wrists and ankles both restrained along with her head. She tried to get up, struggled and squirmed, all while screaming and cursing. Seconds later all of that ended. Her body suddenly froze and jolted upward. Her back curved in deeply and her toes curled, her fists balled tightly. It was something she never thought she would ever experience. The pain and torment of Electric Shock Therapy. {ECT} it was like an electrically charged whip being lashed against every part of her body at the same time. Like she could feel her brain cooking and the blood in her veins and arteries thickening and boiling.

Soon it was over; Veronica was now back in her cell, in her bed. Her eyes fluttered open slowly and she began coughing. She grabbed her chest and sat up in bed, coughing more. Then seeing speckles of crimson upon her blanket."What the fvck?" She whispered to herself and looked around the room, confusion, pain, numbness. It was dark, but now there was a small dim light on above the door to her cell. She sat quietly for a moment, feeling strange and trying to comprehend what had just happened to her and why. She was having a hard time recalling certain things. But at the moment, she figured it was from the trauma that just occurred.
