Character study pt. 2 -

➣ Which magics school did you attend?
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
➣ Were you the first in your family to attend a magic based school?
No, many more before him.
➣ Years attended?
1964- 1971.
➣ If applicable, how were you sorted?
Liam naturally was sorted in to Ravenclaw. No better fit would exist for him. Edgar had always told Liam that he would be sorted into Ravenclaw, and his big brother was correct. Nothing made Liam more proud than to be sorted into the very house in which Edgar /felt/ he'd get sorted into. This is how he comes to meet Carys Cooper - his friendships build from there.
➣ Pet brought?
Liam brought a brown barn owl that he decided to name Mac. He honestly hated naming pets and found it difficult to do so. The name Mac was simple nor was it weird. So, he went with it.
➣ Top three best subjects?
CHARMS - Liam loves charms and finds it ultimately fascinating. While it is typically quite a noisy and chaotic environment (which Liam hates), enjoys creating changes to objects, changing the physical properties of most anything he sets his mind to. Liam excels in this course.
HERBOLOGY - Learning to take care of something else, that being a magical plant, Liam was able to relax and forget even for a moment that he was mentally ill. It distracted him as well as taught him how beneficial magical plants and herbs could be in every day life.
POTIONS - Easily one of Liam's most favorite. Mixing potions is somewhat of a thrill, especially if you aren't paying attention in class. He loves outperforming other students in this subject, especially, and prides himself on his ability to get it right every time. The best is when his class mates are waiting for him to falter, only for him to get commended for the great job he's done.
*Side note* Liam is book smart and very gifted in academics despite what his healers and muggle doctors told him. While these are his top 3 favorite classes, he succeeded in everything he took at Hogwarts. Often found studying in the library and tutoring other students, Liam made sure to keep his academics top of mind to prove to everyone he was /not/ incapable.
➣ Worst three subjects?
He excelled in pretty much all of his Hogwarts subjects, however, he was not fond of:
DIVINATION - What a bunch of bullsh*t if he ever heard it. He found this subject to be the most unreliable source of magic to exist. Looking into a crystal ball wasn't going to change the future or predict it. It was just that....looking into a crystal ball.
ASTRONOMY - Not a favorite for him. He found it boring and wished he was more interested in the subject. Enough said.
DARK ARTS - Hates. Not because he can't do it, but because it scares him. Liam, with his mental illness, is irrationally afraid of getting /too/ interested in the Dark Arts, and therefore idly does his homework and studies for the class without much study or thought to prevent interest. He does feel drawn to it, but keeps away. Perhaps his fear isn't so irrational after all?
➣ Favourite professor?
No particular favorites, but he does have a liking toward McGonagall.
➣ Least favourite professor?
Slughorn. He plays favorites with students and Liam doesn't like that.
➣ Seat preference in class?
Liam sits right up front, annoyingly so to many classmates. Liam requires glasses, though he hardly ever wears them,so sitting up front helps him take notes properly.
➣ Any extracurricular activities?
Liam is a beater on the Ravenclaw Quidditch team. Other than going to practices, he tends to keep to himself and study, hang out with what little friends he has, and find some trouble to get into. xD
➣ Who were your dorm mates?
I DONT KNOW. OTHER RAVENCLAWS.
➣ Mixed with other houses or stayed within?
He had friends from Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, and within his own house. He couldn't /stand/ Slytherin's and was often made fun of and bullied by the house in general. It was a favorite past time of his to interrupt Slytherin's while they attempted to bully someone else and pick a fight of his own.
➣ Large friend group or a few close friends?
Small AF friend group. Liam doesn't make friends quite easily as most people judge him or are scared of his Schizophrenia. So when he finds someone he clicks with it's a win.
➣ Social butterfly or social recluse?
Somewhere in the middle. He likes to retreat and study alone, but does not mind school dances and getting out once in a while with his siblings or his small group of friends. Does he like to draw attention to himself? No. But he's still like everyone else in wanting companionship.
➣ Most embarrassing moment to happen during school?
One day while eating in the Great Hall a Slytherin thought it'd be funny to dump food on Liam's head. Of course, it was a scalding hot bowl of soup which left immediate red blotches all over his face and hands. Half the Hall burst into laughter as Liam had jumped up with burning skin. He had wanted to fight back, but was only met with laughter and a Slytherin's hand shoving him down onto the floor into the remaining soup that had fallen to the floor in a puddle. He wasn't sure who had helped him out of the situation, next thing he knew he was in the hospital wing. Yeah, he was embarrassed. Learned how to fight back more efficiently after that day during his 6th year. Revenge was sought after the incident, leaving the student who had burned him in the hospital wing as well.
➣ Type of learner? (Visual, Aural, Verbal or Kinesthetic?)
Visual and hands-on learner.
➣ Stay up late or wake up early?
He cannot help but to stay up late. So when he begins to finally fall asleep he usually has to wake up early. I'd suppose BOTH.
➣ Manage deadlines or procrastinate?
Nothing bothers him more than people who procrastinate. He gets things done on time and meets deadlines accordingly (if not early).
➣ Long form essay exams or multiple choice?
Either works for him. All that matters is that he knows the material.
➣ Group study sessions or study alone?
Typically studying alone, but really loves study dates with Carys Cooper.
➣ Do you experience exam anxiety?
NO!
➣ Bullied or the bully?
Yes, Liam gets bullied. Typically by Slytherin's. However, towards the end of his Hogwart's stay, most of them left him alone due to him fighting back...and scaring the sh*t out of them. Refer to the Great Hall story about the soup. LOL
➣ Breaking rules or abiding by them?
He does have a fondness for breaking the rules. xD
➣ Graduation standing?
Graduates at the top of his class, proudly so.
➣ Any notable accomplishments, accolades, honours or other recognitions?
Eh, haven't thought this far yet!!!
