The Old Doe

Year 300, Beyond the Wall. Lea Baratheon: 35 years old

Had the cold not bother this older woman with greys starting to show in her hair, the skin that once was smooth full of a few wrinkles? Lea wished she was back home, back in Storm's End, missing the sounds of her brothers banting and being obnoxious. But word travels through the far North as well, no matter how long it had been since she had seen her family.

"Lea, Mance wishes to see you." Tormund stated, and the older hunter stood, stretching her old bones and then moving from her small cabin and to a bigger one, one a traitor of the Night's Watch now resides as the Wildling King.

"You wished to see me, my lord?" She asked, and the older man, by about a few years looked at her, "Ah, Lea. Glad to see you're still kicking."

"Why wouldn't I be? Because I am a doe? The weather up here has seasoned me for over 17 years, Mance. While my bones ache, I will not let the cold bring me down." Her stance as proud, but not like how she was before the battle of the Trident. Age had been creeping up on her and she had not liked it.

"Why don't you return home? I am sure your family would enjoy you being there." He said, and he was true to his words. She would be happy to return home, but from how the Baratheons have been dying like flies, she shook her head, "I would rather die from a wright than be betrayed by a house that wants no Baratheons alive to claim the Throne."

It was soon after she had said that that Tormund had come back, with another brother of the Night's Watch and the boy seem to recognize her, but she knew only because of the stories. Lea Baratheon had disappeared after the Battle of the Trident and no one knew where she was until now.

"Before you say anything boy, I am who you think I am, and no I am no ghost."

Mance stood and placed an arm around her, then noted, "Snow, this is Leynia Baratheon, the second last sibling to Robert Baratheon. She goes by Lea here, so don't say anything." She shrugged his arm from her shoulder and then went for the opening, "Now that you have another soul to talk to, I am going to retire back to my cabin."
