Most importantly, I am dealing with a family issue of sexual abuse that has just been made known by someone near and dear to me. Not only does this trigger what I went through when I was younger, I also need to be with her through each step she takes. As of now she has decided to pursue things legally. The reason I am speaking candidly about this, without giving too much detail, is because those who have been affected by this need to know there are others out there. Others they can speak to and understand all the emotions you go through. Because you are not alone! My heart is burdened and hurts as this family member goes through this..
