Vampire Rising: The Fall

(This is an alternate version of events)

Evil has always enticed man ever since the serpent lured Eve in the garden. It progressed, taking root. The seed festered. In a matter of a few years after the expulsion from the Garden, the fall of the two brothers would lead to the first human-demon hybrid - the descendants of the first man and woman. Lucifer tried to tempt Abel. Cain believed his brother was corrupt, so he attempted to kill him to protect him from succumbing to the darkness. The brothers were cursed for their discord. Cain was punished for his crime. He was cast into exile, forced to live his days believing he killed his brother, and marked for his crime. Lucifer saved Abel's life. He offered him immortality and power. Abel accepted this proposal, not realizing the full extent of Lucifer's offer. It darkened his heart. He along with his bride Lilith became the first vampires. Abominations feasting and destroying the race from which they emerged.

Time passed. The disease that was vampirism spread, but it was also diluted as it passed from maker to progeny. Descendants, including the direct Aurelius line, were weaker vampires stricken with frailties, such as an inability to withstand sunlight. Fortunately, the Shadow Men were able to contain Abel. They imprisoned him in a death-like state buried deep within the ground. But Lilith escaped. Led by the Slayer, mankind fought back against the growing vampire hordes. One girl, in all the world, chosen to fight the demons and the forces of darkness.

According to legend, the blood of the chosen one (the Slayer) and the blood of a descendant (the Winchester line) could awaken Abel from his slumber. It was feared he would attempt to open the doors to the heavens and the gates to hell. He had expressed desires to rule them, a byproduct of which would be a human world in a state of dissonance. For centuries Lilith waited, searching for the opportunity to awaken her mate. She looked for a member of Abel's blood line. Only to finally find one that was in love with a Slayer. She watched them until the Slayer bore a child with the blood of both lines.

This was the perfect opportunity. She tried to take the child to drink in her power. But her efforts were in vain. The forces of good and love had prevailed, for the time being. Lilith had failed in her endeavors, and her body and head were now separated by hundreds of years and millions of miles, not dead, but not alive either.

A few precious drops of Samantha's blood were spilt, unnoticed during the events at Lilith's castle, absorbed deep into the floor. Abel felt it, as if in a dream he was beckoned by those few drops, summoned. Deep within the ground his body regenerated. Tissues began reforming. Fluids flowed. He awoke pushing his way to the surface. It was time

Yeah. Kinda. Sorta. I think Dean would say its Miller time, she wasnt sure she said that right.  Sounded like something he had said before. Lucifer back in his cage and Abel is a rock back in the ground. Pretty awesome spell Aly had there. She did good, she smiled. Unfortunately it had been very draining. The girl was knocked out on the ground. Kat walked over brushing a healing hand across Allyssas forehead. She waited for her to stir and help her to her feet.

She then stepped over to examine Samantha. May I? she offered to hold the girl. She spoke to her softly. Her soul was pure and sweet. The darkness was gone. There appeared to be no physical damage from the car wreck or time with the demons. Her thoughts were normal for the child of a hunter. She handed Samantha back to her parents.

As she turned around she nodded and smiled, Castiel. It had been a long time since she had seen him. Crowley was standing next to her. You should leave. Nothing more for you to do here. Nothing to see, she glanced over at him. He made a remark. Two angels, Winchesters, a slayer, souled vampires, and one demon, she reminded him. Another saucy remark and he zapped out of the room.

One more thing.  Katarina was all about redemption and forgiveness. She walked over to the ashes of Meg. She was helping us, she leaned down placing a hand over the dust. It took a lot of energy, but she brought the demon back. The confused woman looked around wildly asking what the hell happened. Katarina explained and warned her she could turn her back at any time not to harm anyone.

It was all over. Everything was said and done. Everyone was ready to disperse. Wanna go home? she turned to look at her husband. She came over kissing his lips and wrapping an arm around him. It had been a long adventure.

Sam was just a spectator to everything that was happening.  Or maybe he wasnt.  He still had Alys hand.  Maybe he was providing her a little boost to her amazing new mojo, or if not that, a little reassurance.  She might be powerful, but she was new to it and maybe not as confident as someone whod been wielding this kind of power for a long time.  Like Crowley or Castiel.

Lilith lay dead on the floor, at least she certainly looked most sincerely dead.  The Vampire Queen seemed to be wilting, shriveling, and sinking into the floor.  Kind of like the Wicked Witch of the West. Liquidated.  Then Cas appeared out of nowhere.  Cas!  Dude!  Good timing.  We could use a little help here.  At least I think Aly could use your help!  Lucifer was elevated off the ground and glowing like a 1000-watt light bulb.  Sam almost needed to shade his eyes.  He didnt know what was happening, but as Cas seemed to focus his attention on Satan that bright light intensified even more.  He saw Kat take a step forward, and then little Samantha and Crowley, apparently adding their strength to whatever it was Aly was doing.

Lucifer the light bulb became blindingly bright, so much so that Sam looked away and closed his eyes.  A moment later there was pop and the light was abruptly extinguished.  Lucifer was gone and Aly collapsed into Sams arms.  Looking around he noted there was nothing left of Lilith except for a puddle of black ooze.  A slight odor of sulfur filled the air.  Sammy didnt understand.

So what happened?  Did we win?  Did we win?  What happened to Lucifer?  And what about Abel?

Sombitch Dean mumbled to himself as Lilith suddenly appeared.  She made quick work of Meg.  Not that Dean would miss that bitch-demon.  Why Meg?  Probably no reason at all, Lilith was just juicin up the blasters.  Her real intended was Aly.  She meant to fry Sam and Deans only cuz.  At first it looked like a draw, but then Dean could see Aly was losing.  Shitfire he mumbled again.  He looked around for a weapon, something that would distract Lilith, at least for a moment.  Probably would get him killed, but it might give Aly the time she needed to complete the spell.

Then he saw it lying there on the floor.  The Colt.  Aly had fired it three times.  It was a six shooter, so it probably had three more rounds loaded into it. Probably.  But bullets that worked on demons and other baddies were always in short supply.  Maybe thered only been three. Then if it was loaded, would it kill Lilith?  He remembered Lucifer saying once that there were four or five things the Colt wouldnt kill.  Was Lilith one of them?  Dean didnt know.  But it didnt matter and there was no time to think about it.  The elder Winchester brother had never been big on the thinking part anyway.  He was a guy of spontaneous action.

Dean sprinted a few steps then dove for the Colt. He rolled, grabbed the gun in both hands, pulled back the hammer while pointing it at Lilith, then pulled the trigger.  All this happened in what felt to Dean like slow motion.  Lilith had seen him, and shed swiveled her attention his way while still blasting Aly with that white light.  Dean saw her white eyes go wide, then her head jerked backwards, the blast of white energy from her hand blinked out, and Lilith crumpled to the floor.

Abel had slipped into unconsciousness.  Hed always been the weaker one.  Not much that Lilith could do about that now.  She needed to act quickly or shed be next.  And it might be a very long time, indeed, before they had another chance like this, a chance to win it all.  Their connection to the girl was gone.  And now only a whisper of an umbilical cord linked Lilith and Lucifer, and that cord wasnt allowing any power through.

That didnt mean she was powerless though.  She was still the first demon, and the strongest ever.  Cut her links to all other power sources, and she was still an awesome force to be reckoned with.  She blinked into the room at the Magic Club.  Aly Singer was about to complete a spell to banish Lucifer back to his cage.  The impudence, the arrogance of this junior witch was astonishing.  I dont think so, girlfriend.  Liliths eyes glowed white.  She reached out her hand and a blast of white energy burned Meg to ashes.  She then swiveled it onto Aly, refocusing it and redoubling the power of the beam.  It crawled around the girl, found Sam Winchester and enveloped him, too.  But it was if Alys power was a force field holding the beam back.  Lilith used her other hand to try to reconnect with Samantha.  When that failed, she tried Lucifer.  What had happened to Satan?  Liliths energy was beginning to drain away, but she could see that she was making progress.  The brilliant whiteness of her power was beginning to seep past Alys defenses.  Just a little more

Meg couldnt help herself. She couldnt pass up the opportunity to taunt Lucifer without retaliation. She walked over to his limp form. You should have never left your cage. Winchesters are going to put you back and toss away the key, she looked down at him with a smug grin. She thought about getting a few cheap shots in before the family went to work. So tell me Lucy how does it feel to be beaten by a toddler? being snarky she exaggerated the childs age.  She figured the thing was at least school age, but who cared.

She glanced over at Crowley. The perfect opportunity to take out Crowley could be on the horizon. While everyone distracted locking up Lucifer she could take the self-proclaimed king down. The fallen angels hand twitched, guys. You gonna get on with it?

Samantha was frightened. She was only a little girl, but she had been a pawn in the war between good and evil. The road thus far she had been hit by a car, turned evil, kidnapped, ripped away from her family, and watched demons attack.

Alyssa saved her. She was surrounded by family. She tried to be brave like her parents. They looked determined. She could not see the fear within them. They held strong. Deep down they were terrified. She didnt understand it. They were heroes and champions. She nodded slowly to Alyssa, but she was scared of the bad man. He could take her away or hurt the people she loved.

She waited until the end of Crowleys speech to ask, can I have my bunny? She needed a sense of comfort. She needed to hold something. Her new pet or a stuffed animal would help.

Kat had been mortified at the idea of Crowley working with her and the child. He was bold. Things spiraled quickly out of control. She didnt even get the opportunity to respond, before Lucifer stepped in snatching the child. The Alyssa came in knocking him out.

She raised her hand responding trying to be modest, count me in. Im good at this whole magic thing. I kinda pack the power. She was a half angel, uber wiccan, that could borrow energy from her super mojo having sister. Just tell me what to do.

This wasnt going like it was supposed to go.  Yeah, Crowley had warned them that Lucifer might get involved.  But Sam was of a mind to just back burner stuff he cant do anything about.  There was no sense worrying about or trying to prepare for it, because there was no preparation that could help.  And then it happened.  Lucifer right here, and now he was doing something horrible to little Samantha!

But not for long.  Aly Singer, cousin to the Winchesters, who Sam hadnt seen in about a year, stepped out of the ethos and then bang, bang, bang!  Lucifer was down.

Aly!  Sam stepped up to his cousin after shed burned a sigil into Lucifers chest and gave her a big Moose Hug.  He recognized that sigil as an Angel banishing sigil.  But could it work on Lucifer?  Nice timing, cuz!  And you found the Colt!  But whats the plan here?  I shot Lucifer once with this thing and he was back up like a Jack in the Box about a minute later.  So whatever youre doing we gotta do it fast!   How can we help?

The real King of Hell, Satan, Abaddon, Beelzebub, the Evil One, had been slumbering.  The world had become less interesting.  In that regard, he and god shared a common view of Planet Earth.  Lucifer had turned his attention inward, as sometimes the omnipotent will.

But he was drawn out of that malaise when something was nearly severed on Earth.  The balance had been disrupted.  More than that, the floodgates were on the verge of bursting and all the progress he and his servants had made of late was at risk of being washed away.  Specifically, Abel and Lilith, who collectively were akin to his right arm, were failing.  Their powers withering on the vine, and as that happened, Lucifers umbilical cord to the vampires was getting squeezed.  It would severe before long and then he would be incapable of helping Abel or Lilith remotely.  No, he would have to make a personal call on whoever was responsible for this mess.  He found that starkly annoying.  Did he have to do everything himself?

Lucifer quickly determined that a wizard and a Wolfram and Hart official by the name of Lilah Morgan were ultimately responsible.  They were dead and the law firm was in ruins, so not much was needed there.  Lilith had taken care of that problem before her power levels tanked.  Most importantly, though, the Miracle Child was unplugged from Lilith and Abel, and her powers were quickly being converted to gods side of the ledger.  This would not do, particularly after all the progress Lilith and Abel had made.  It didnt take Lucifer long to find the girl, hiding out in a thinly veiled place of magic.

Lucifer arrived suddenly, sitting in a chair opposite Crowley, his legs crossed at the ankles and his fingers laced together on a round bar table.  Lucifers nails were perfectly manicured, his hair was slicked back immaculately, but without grease or oil, and his black clothes were flawless, without a wrinkle or loose thread.  The Prince of Lies shook his head and clucked in annoyance.  Crowley, Crowley, Crowley.  You of all people, collaborating with the enemy.  Then he glanced at Meg the demon.  He was tempted to incinerate her on the spot, but she wasnt worthy of his attentions.  She was like a fly buzzing around his cup of rum.  So he focused on the little girl, on Samantha.  He smiled at her.  So there you are, munchkin!  Come to your real daddy.  She floated across the room and into his arms. Lucifer put a hand to her forehead and began to turn her power dark again.  Samantha screamed.

The four champions arrived at the club. Katarina noticed Crowley sitting in the back. He was leaned back with a look of superiority. He always considered himself a king. Dean and Faith were with him. Their daughter sitting between them munching on french fries. She was glad to see the little girl was safe. And was that Meg sitting with them? Odd.

She walked down the aisle towards them. The slayer and hunter went on high alert. Dean was reaching for his gun. Faith's hand was already on the hilt of her knife. The last time the couple had seen the vampires were evil and kidnapped the women. "Whoa guys!!! Hold it!! Buffy and I are fine," she tried to calm them. Slayers and hunters were suspicious by nature. Their hands continued to rest on their weapons. "Spike and Angel are back to normal. Well normal for them. Crowley tell them," she needed some form of confirmation. Crowley should be able to tell the difference in someone good or evil.
