Ariel had just ventured back to palace grounds after collecting human treasures that sat along reefs and the sea floor. Suddenly, Sebastian appeared out of nowhere, giving her a lecture about humans. Per usual, Ariel ignored every uttering word that the crustacean bellowed out to her. As she began to swim upward and away from his presence, he gripped onto her tail fin. She sank back down and perched herself onto the rock as Sebastian began a melody, and she of course began to sing along, her voice echoing throughout the waters. They were suddenly approached by another mermaid, who looked just like Ariel, but she had a pearly white skin tone. "Thank you," Ariel said to the other. She was very accepting of the other mermaid, and instantly felt connected to her. "Come sing with us," Ariel insisted, gesturing her hand out hoping that the other would take her hand and join in.
As she got closer, Ariel could also see and hear a small crab who was singing along with the mermaid. How cute! In fact, it reminded her of her own crab, Sebastian! Could it be that...? No, how would that be possible? Unless it was a cruel trick from Ursula, the Sea Witch.
Her eyes brightened and she grinned as the other mermaid invited her to sing with them. How could she say no?
"Of course, I would love to!" She took her hand and soon her voice joined there, a lovely melody that echoed across the seafloor.ย
Moving about, Killian stood and took a second away from the rest of the crew at the stern, or back, of the ship, just behind the helm. He leaned up against the railing against his side, taking another swig of rum from his flask. Taking in a deep breath of the fresh sea air, he felt at peace, as he always did whilst on the sea aboard his favorite seacraft.ย
From his peripheral view, he caught a glimpse of bright red. Quickly turning his attention in that direction, he spotted what he couldn't believe was a woman in the water. Mermaid? The last mermaid group that the Jolly Rogers' crew had run into, happens years ago. A mermaid with an unbelieable voice nearly crashed their ship but with a change of hear, she saved them. Tragically, this mermaid's tale would end sadly with heartbreak - Ursula. Yet, this mermaid, too, seemed to be like Ursula. She wasn't luring the crew with her voice. She didn't seem to have any ill intentions. She was just... watching.
With a curious mind, he turned around in her direction and leaned over the side railing.ย The pirate thought for a fleeting moment. The storm was brewing and growing worse by the minute. Within the same instant, the ship was rocked by one of the bigger waves and abruptly knocked back over to the side he was standing on. This sudden changed caused the pirate to lose balance and send him over the edge. The other men were bracing themselves, or continued on singing or enjoying in the merriment of the moment to notice their captain disppearing from view.ย
His body fell into the water, the current spinning him around in the deep, dark void of the ocean. In a panic, Killian tried to swim back towards the surface, but the undertoe carried him further downwards. It also stands to reason it would be a bit harder to swim upwards when his own coat itself weighed 50 lbs and he only had the one hand. Within a matter of seconds, the captain succumbed to the water and fell unconscious.
Pillaging and plundering were part of the pirate's life - living with no code, no rules, not having anyone to report to but their captains. They'd sail the seas, see sites from the most beautiful to the most cursed. One ship in particular, the Jolly Roger, was a fairly infamous ship in the Enchanted Realm. Aboard the ship was their fearless captain, Killian Jones, otherwise know to most everyone as Captain Hook.
Killian stood at 5'10", well built, with dark oak brown hair and facial hair to match. He adorned a more modern-ish captains attire - leather and to top off the ensemble was the well known hook for a hand. This piece of equipment given to him by the notorious Dark One, Rumplestiltskin, for coveting and taking a major interest in his love, Mila. The Dark One saw just how much she meant to him. They fell in love, became Killian's first true love, or so he thought. For that, Rumplestiltskin sought out vengence and sliced the captain's hand clean off. A-hand-for-a-hand essentially. Even then, that was not enough for the evil imp. He killed Kiilian's love in front of his very eyes, destroying what little hope and love Killian had for anyone in his life.ย
So his ship continued to be his one source for love and adventure. He prized his ship more than anything in this world, above all treasures and gold.ย
Where we begin
It had been a lengthy adventure. The pirate crew had just returned from one corner of the realm that included a smaller kingdom, one that was nestled along the seaside. Ominous clouds were overhead, but that wouldnt deter the captain and crew. The men aboard had started singing shanties, the first mate - Mr. Smee, was the only soul worried about the storm that was aprraoching them. The Captain would plot himself down on one of the barrels aboard deck to take in their win for the day. He pulled out his flask of rum and took a swig, smiling as he absorbed the energy of the individuals around him.
A whole new world with new horizons to pursue. It's all so magical.

Early into her teenage years, Jasmine discovered the laws regarding the future of her love life. It was set in stone that as a princess, she would be forced to marry a prince before her sixteenth birthday. She always detested the rule, turning away every suitor that her father threw at her and often commenting on how she wanted to marry for love, not for a law. In her mind, marriage was a waste of her time and she would never be an accessory on the arm of a prince. After one bad encounter with a suitor, she decided to run away from the plush palace and experience the real world, something she had never been given the opportunity to do.
During her experience, a man of the streets rescued her from having her hand chopped off and showed her a bit of reality to the situation of any non-royals. She was soon escorted back to the palace and made to believe that Jafar had the boy executed. Distraught, she sobbed to her father and had him confront Jafar about the incident, which he simply said he would consult the Sultan beforehand next time. Jasmine returned to her room and came out once again to find a new prince discussing the idea of winning her over to her father. She was outraged at them talking of her as if she were a prize that needed winning. The next encounter she had with the prince, she realized he was the same boy from the streets and she fell for him deeply on a midnight magic carpet ride. She announced her choosing of Al, but their soon-to-be happy ending was halted by Jafarโs new control over the genie and the castle. In the end, Aladdin defeated Jafar at his own game, forcing him to be sucked into a lamp as a genie until the end of time. But, before he had completely been dragged in, he cursed Jasmine to change into the form of a tiger. Her curse made it to where whenever she felt stress or fear of any kind she would shift into a tigress, causing all of her emotions to be heightened to a point where she was barely herself. Despite the new curse, when all was said and done, they were given permission from her father to marry and be happy.
Years after their joyous marriage, her father was on his death bed, saying nothing but sweet things to the both of them. No matter how much he had driven her mad through suitors so long ago, she adored him and was crushed at his passing. However, she was not given the time to mourn, only minutes after his death the city was under attack by a plague of monsters that soon overthrew their palace. With no time to think, Aladdin made the decision to smuggle her out of the city and to get them by on his street-smarts until it was possible to fight back and regain their home. Soon into their new street rat lives, Jasmine came to the ultimate realization that this wasnโt her, and this wasnโt the life she intended on living. At one point she had been held down by the chains of her crown and title, now she was free, and she would be damned if she spent another moment being confined by circumstance. All grief she had felt over her father shifted to rage, which she used as fuel to almost control when she shifted into her tigress form. She abandoned Aladdin, driven by rage and desire, she left Agrabah and her princess self in the past, now attempting to locate Jafar, the most powerful man she had ever encountered. With her tiger form at her side and the powers of seduction, she fully intended to gain as much power as possible and never take orders from a man ever again.

My character I tend to keep rather simple, she is just short of 600 years old. She lived around 1450 in Puerto Rico, she was a Taino Indian on the island, she was turned in her early twenties. She has spent her time learning to fight with swords and hand to hand along with traveling the world. She has the typical vampire traits, accelerated speed, healing, agility, strength, keen senses, the one extra that sets her apart is a gift for producing and manipulating fire. Its a gift she does not have complete control over, it can emerge in times of anger or extreme emotion. Jade's mood is often connected with her hunger, if she has not fed recently she can grow agitated, angry even hostile. Her personality though I tend to bend depending on who I am writing with and what they are looking for as far as a story. She can be protective etc or she can be an enemy, and everything in between, just depending on which way you would want to go
