Neo Death Eaters; Primarily pure-bloods, the Neo Death Eaters are lead by those that originally served Voldemort. Their goal? To create their ideal world. The NDE are placed in positions of power within institutions like the Ministry of Magic, not only in England but the MoM in other countries as well. The idea is to manipulate the public's ideals and eventually a Minister in power so that the segregation between magical blood, muggle-borns, and muggles will begin - legally. When not in the public eye, they are just as we remembered our lovely DE's to be - violent, blood thirsty, and generally always itching to prove their points. Within this faction, those who descend from a long line of DE's are more respected than others. Snatchers; Sometimes, our DE's are just too busy to bother with finding their own victims to torture. That's where the Snatcher's come in. They're not as prominent as they once were but enough to cause a bit of distress for anyone lost in the woods on they're own. Dementors; Are no longer monsters of Azkaban. In fact, the Ministry has no control over them. The war had multiplied they're numbers and have been diligent with avoiding capture. It is for this reason that younger students are pushed to learn the patronus charm and is one of the few legal spells an underage wizard can perform and practice outside of Hogwarts. Lavender Brown; Yeah. She's alive in our arc because the book never specified that she died. Only that she was attacked by Greyback before Hermione saved her--implying that she was alive in that moment. The movie took liberties, like Luna/Neville. That's our story with Lavender and we're sticking to it. Trio Era in this RPG; Our Trio Era characters are adults. They're the ones that have to deal with the more serious matters starting out in the RPG. Like their jobs, family, and rumored dangers. They play a big part and once the NDE officially kick start their plans you can be sure the adults will have plenty to do. Original Characters; We accept them so long as they don't interfere with canon or arcs developed for current OC's in the group. What does that mean? No secret love child between Harry and Hermione for example. Or, no Draco/Pansy love child... yeah... our Astoria will fillet you alive for that attempt. She's not a 'nice' Astoria. xDRPM Accounts;   Since we are in the process of transferring FTP over to RPM, it is imperative that all members create and/or have RPM accounts.The Forum; Due to the fact that many people seem to dislike forums (though we still can't figure out exactly why), we are currently in the process of moving FTP over to RPM.  However since we are all irked by the fact that RPM blogs post out of sequence (backwards, as you all know), we are going to continue our group storylines in the forum.  DON'T LET THIS DETER YOU!  It's even easier than setting up an RPM account, we assure you.  Also if you're having trouble with it in any way, any owner or moderator is happy to help you get started - we've done so many a time.Quidditch; Our founding members love Quidditch. We do plan on incorporating it somewhere either with a few blogged games or a World Cup event. Dances/Balls; We will have them. We understand that there needs to be fun things in the RPG to do to counter all the serious and deadly stuff not many RPGs offer. Quitting/leaving/dropping; We won't be upset if you decide to leave the group - it happens; and no matter the reason for leaving, we will always respect a member's decision to leave. We only ask that you please notify us before you do so because by simply abandoning the account we are left at a purgatory--an in-between of either replacing you, cutting your character, or waiting it out a bit longer. We hate that. It's probably the only pet peeve we have. Just tell us. We won't cause a scene because you decided this wasn't for you; shit happens. Activity; The mods have lives, the members have lives. Sign on as much as you can but that doesn't mean we expect you to do replies every time you sign on.  Just check up on things and keep up with news. All it takes is a minute or two. Officially, the rule is you must sign on 2-3 times a month. Not bad and completely manageable. We're not demanding folk.  xDLastly, Please refrain from calling Professor Scrimgeour Professor Wiggy or Wiggy. Otherwise, like Roxanne Weasley, you will find yourself in a  lifetime of detentions.

| HOME | <--- Back to CONTENTS || GROUP   HISTORICAL FICTION RPG set in ANCIENT PERSIA (Parthian era) The group offers an ideal setting for retelling historical events (using fictional elements) or creating new ones, as well as exploring the world of the1st century BCE (35-27 BCE) by role-playing characters of different backgrounds and nationalities, according to your liking.If you have little or no knowledge of that time period, assistance will gladly be offered!   HISTORICAL SETTINGThe Persian Empire around 35 BCE was known to the West as Parthia / The Parthian Empire / The Kingdom of the Parthians (Latin: Regnum Parthorum) after the Parthian dynasty in power. For the Romans the terms “Parthian” and “Persian” became interchangeable. They viewed themselves as the New Greeks following in the steps of Alexander the Great to conquer the lands of the Persians just like he had done. To its people the empire was known at first as Aryanshahr (meaning “land of the Aryans”). Latter, having evolved together with the language, it became known as Ērānshahr or simply Ērān.The fictional royal family of mixed Persian-Parthian ancestry was introduced in the RPG in the place of the real historical Parthian dynasty of that time in order to create a smoother and earlier transition to the era known in history as that of the Second/New Persian Empire (the rule of the Sasanian dynasty, of Persian ancestry).Parthian or Persian? The Parthian homeland was in the north-east of modern day Iran while Persians were natives of the south-western province of Pars (modern day Fars) but they were both Iranian people (Aryans).The Parthians secured their rule over the territories of the former / first Persian Empire (the rule of the Achaemenid dynasty, before Alexander’s conquest in 330 BCE) by claiming descent from the old Persian dynasties and marrying descendants of Persian dynasties. They assimilated the Greek customs of their conquerors but strove to revive the old Iranian traditions and restore national pride.For almost two thousand years, to the West they were generally known as Persians, regardless of the dynasty in power, while the natives called themselves Iranians. In 1935, Reza Shah Pahlavi requested the international community to refer to the country by its native name, Iran.STORYLINEThe main storyline of the group begins in 35 BCE when Prince Tus is crowned King of Kings of the Persian Empire after defeating the invading Roman armies of Marcus Antonius (based on a historical event; see Antony's Parthian War). In our story the fictional character Tus replaces the historical king Frahata (Phraates) IV, who ruled in this period and inflicted the above-mentioned defeat.The general narrative follows the conflicts between the Persian Empire and the threatening outside forces (the Romans in the west, the Kushan in the east, various invading tribes in the north-east), inside forces (political plots, conspiracies, rebellions) and the ever-present palace intrigues where dark secrets threaten to unveil themselves at all turns. It is a world of kings and warriors, of powerful men and at times even more powerful women.The story of the group is loosely based on the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time movie that provided a framework for the construction of a fictional historical setting, shaped around real historical events. Knowledge of the Prince of Persia movie is not compulsory but you should watch it if you can, or at least watch clips that can be found online (ex: youtube), to become acquainted with the main characters and their personalities. The supernatural elements of the Prince of Persia movie are also not compulsory. They can be used in separate SLs by the writers who want to involve them as well.SOURCES OF INSPIRATIONROME (the TV Series) best qualifies as a source of inspiration for the time period we write in, at least for the Roman side. This show describes very well the Roman world of this period. Sadly there are no such sources for the Persian Empire, aside from some semi-correct facts from the 2004 movie Alexander. Other movies or TV series taking place in approximately the same time period, in neighboring lands, are Ben-Hur and various religious themed productions like A.D. The Bible Continues.A detailed source of inspiration for Egypt from the exact same time period as that of the group is the 2017 video game Assassin’s Creed Origins. Aside from the game’s main storyline with some reinterpretations of historical facts and the addition of some SF elements connected to the franchise, everything that takes place in the background is the result of very much historical research. You get an accurate expression of the lives of Egyptians and Greeks living in the Egypt of Cleopatra as well as the prevailing Roman influence in the country, with many forts scattered throughout the region. This is in fact a fairly accurate description of how Roman occupation would have looked like in the eastern lands, including those bordering the Persian Empire.The historical liberties taken are justified by the vague information we have today about the Parthian rule in Iran, the majority coming from the accounts of other nations and almost none from native sources. The accounts of foreign writers are often biased, being told from the perspective of the enemy. The cultural differences that were completely foreign to the writers were interpreted from the point of view of their own culture, thus often resulting in misinterpretations that remained in historical records as facts.This period is also known in Iranian history as a time of myth, legends and heroes (as described also in The Book of Kings / Shahnameh), which also allows for vast creative liberties.   For a detailed list of Movies and TV Series that could serve as inspiration for creating a character and role-playing in this verse go HERE!There are also a few tips for creating an original character.

He smiled and bit her ear hard  Domini Dracula 10:31 pm    (squealed with sudden pain, trying to push him away) Lost Boy 10:33 pm    He laughed and let her go. "Dom. Come here." He smiled tilting his head slightly, dark eyes moving over her. "Come here i got something for you..."  Domini Dracula 10:35 pm    A shiver went down her back as she pondered a moment.  She knew nothing he gave her was very good, but making him wait was worse.  Her red eyes looked into his sinister dark ones, her steps taking her toward him. Lost Boy 10:44 pm    he smiled and slowly closed the distance between them his eyes remarkably clear for being the demonic bastard he was. He was happy. truly happy. it was an emotion he didn't feel often but tonight was different. He reached into his back pocket pulling a soft feminine fingers, blood and gore dangled from the torn away knuckle. "I saw it and thought of you." He almost whispered turning the ring on the severed fingers. A golden band with a metallic scull head in the center, twin small rubies glistened in its eye sockets. "Marry Me Domini..." He half smiled his gaze deep and piercing. "Mary me and bind our damned souls together until oblivion."  Domini Dracula 10:55 pm    Domini was surprised by his strange behavior, but knew to keep on her guard and expect the unexpected from this 'man' that she had known for some time now.  Her gaze dropped to his hand pulling something from his back pocket, which she fully expected to be his knife, his favorite playtoy for their encounters.  It was a wonder that she had ever conceived their son as badly as she had been sliced by his blade, but never the less, Ajax had been born.  The fingers made her scrunch her nose a moment until she noticed him trying to remove something from the stump.  Her gasp was loud with her surprise at his question, "Marry you?  Are you serious?"  She wasn't sure what kind of trick he was up to, the being who had beaten and cut her profusely, raped her, burned her, taken her eye...  But yet he had given her some of himself to keep her alive, giving her a gift of more rapid healing, which was also to his advantage. Lost Boy 11:12 pm    Leslie looked down at the ring then slowly back to her his brow ruffling with slight confusion. A confusion that swiftly turned to defencive anger. That Wasn't what she was supposed to say. That Wasn't what he had thought she would say. he thought she would have been thrilled, wanting, loving, and longed to be with him. "What do you mean?" He almost growled his fingers curling around the ring. "Are you.. rejecting me!?" He asked flexing his brow in a look of pure shock and surprise. "Dom..." That was all he could say, that was all the pleading he had in him. "Fuck it." He sighed reaching back for his blade.  Domini Dracula 11:22 pm    "No!" she cried, her hands grabbing her head as she shook it in confusion.  "I've never really run from you, not in a long time, you know that I want to be with you."  She dropped her hands and looked back to him, "I just don't know why..."  For a while it seemed that his torture was getting to be so bad that he could kill her, until he had let her drink of him and given her that bit of himself.  She never could tell what he truly desired but she did crave his attentions.   Lost Boy 11:45 pm    "What the Fuck Does that Mean!!?" Leslie screamed tossing the ring at her. "Fucking Bitch! playing mind games with me? Hmm? trying to Hurt me is that it?" He pulled his blade walking swiftly towards her. "Want to see what happens to stupid little bitches that fuck with my head Dom!?" He roared reaching out snatching her hair. He brought the blade up holding it to her face. "Stick out that flapping tongue Dom. Lets see how well you hurt me without it."  Domini Dracula 11:53 pm    The ring landed at her feet, she began to lean down to pick it up when he was suddenly upon her, screaming about her hurting him and grabbing her hair.  "No!" she screamed at him, shaking her head and trying to pull from his grip.  "I'm not trying to hurt you!  You surprised me because I thought I was just a playtoy to you!"  She frantically pushed at him, tears of frustration running down her cheek as her mind raced to understand what was happening and how it had gone wrong.  The ring taunted her to pick it up but she could not with him holding her hair. Lost Boy 12:01 am    "Liar!" Leslie Roared his gaze narrow and hateful, hungry for her flesh, aching to give her such blissful pain. He Took a small breath she struck at his chest his gaze softening in ways it had only for her. For a moment, just a moment his eyes cleared to revile that soft green that only she had seen. The blade slowly fell from her face then dropped from his grip landing next to the ring. "Your not a toy to me Dom... you were always more." he whispered sliding his fingers through her hair his lips brushing hers gently. "I love you..." Words he had only said in taunting fury he now spoke with sincerity his eyes sliding closed. "Forever..."   Domini Dracula 12:14 am    Her eyes looked quickly to him, her struggle stopping with his change in demeanor.  His green eyes looked though the hate and fury of darkness to make her smile just a moment.  So many times she longed to see that part of him, the part that lay hidden beneath but had saved her more than once.  She kissed him quickly, whispering "I love you," quickly before he disappeared like he always had.  The moment his eyes closed, she dropped to her knees on the floor, picking up the ring quickly before the return of his dark side. Lost Boy 12:53 am    Leslie Reached out griping slowly taking the ring from her. he smiled and griped her hand turning it he slid in on her finger. "Good girl Dom." He spoke in a soft yet menacing tone. "never take it off..." Domini Dracula 12:58 am    She looked at the ring on her finger, gruesome yet so meaningful, and then to him.  "I won't," she answered, still half in shock of all that had transpired.  So much had happened between them, and so much was yet to come, she knew this...

Captain Riker sat in his ready room and stared at the incoming subspace message. "Pay Back." He ran his hand over his goatee, and shook his head. Such a simple transmission, and the third of its kind he'd received in as many months. He had tried to trace the source of the word only transmission but his and Daniel's attempts were futile. He let out a long sigh, and closed the message. The message seemed clear enough, but after three months he briefly thought it to be a prank, or perhaps an idle threat. However if he truly thought about it he was certain it was a very serious threat, after all he'd created many enemies in his lifetime. Thomas chose to keep this from Deanna; it wasn't something he wanted her to fret about. She had more important things to worry about as she'd just transferred to Deep Space Nine. Today he had more important things to think about, they were preparing to go on a Section 31 mission in a few hours and his new bride wasn't happy he would be gallivanting off,  for who knew how long, two days after they'd returned from their honeymoon.  Of course he'd had to lie to her again, he disliked deceiving her but he would never be able to explain to her his deep involvement with Section 31 and it wasn't something he'd just simply be able to quit. If she found out what he was truly doing she would be angry, hurt and most likely betrayed.  "Captain Riker, there's an incoming message from Admiral Sloan." His first officer's voice rang through his Ready Room on the Defiant. He tapped his comm badge, and returned an answer to Commander Johnson. "Patch it through Commander." Thomas had been waiting for this communique, the final specifications for his next mission.  He pressed the button on his computer console, "Hello Admiral." Thomas gave the man a wry smile. "I take it you've got the rundown for our next mission." It wasn't a question it was a matter of fact. "Captain Riker, I'd like to introduce you to someone who can fill you in on the more intimate particulars." The Admiral looked away from the view screen and nodded. It took a mere two seconds for Thomas to get his ire up when he saw who or rather what would be talking to him. Thomas snarled and glared from the Admiral to the Cardassian, "What is that doing here?" Thomas almost stood and walked away, his contempt and hate for the Cardassians burning through his entire being. Admiral Sloan quickly met the Captain's glare and ordered him at ease. Riker narrowed his eyes mistrustfully at the Cardassian, feeling very unnerved but able to conceal his intense, almost overwhelming feelings of hate. But as the Cardassian began to speak Thomas felt himself relax slightly, the story he was weaving far too interesting to be drown out by suspicion. Admiral Sloan reinforced what the Cardassian was saying. "This will be a risky mission but one I know you can undertake.  The Cardassians study of Quantum electro accelerated transfer called our attention to the problem and it is our only hope of changing the outcome. An outcome that I must remind you will impact all of Star Fleet." The Admiral gave Thomas a stern look. Captain Thomas Riker sneered as the Admiral continued, "You and your team Captain Riker have been chosen to actuate the plan. We need an officer familiar with the Betazoid armory compound. Thomas, you had access while stationed there as a lieutenant." He made a grunting noise as Sloan reminded him of his years past, most people, he thought, considered that to be William Riker and not he himself that was stationed there. The only time the powers that be considered that to also be Thomas Riker was when they wanted someone expendable. Why put William Riker in harm's way when they could simply send Thomas Riker, his duplicate. This is the reason, Thomas felt, that they recruited him into Section 31 to begin with, that and the fact that Thomas Riker was a killer, he'd been bred to be a killer in the Cardassian Prison Camps and the powers that be knew that little fact. Riker leaned toward the screen staring at the penetrating scowl of the Cardassian and the concerned gaze of the Admiral. "With all due respect, my admissions to the compound were over twenty years after the fact. There must be someone else more qualified." The Admiral gave Captain Riker a smile. "Thomas there is no one more qualified and we need someone like you, someone who thinks quickly on his feet. Someone capable of making swift decisions that to others would appear unorthodox. Remember if we fail Star Fleet as well as the United Federation of Planets will cease to exist as we now know it."  The Admiral leaned closer to the screen, "And as you well know Thomas you are risking your life as well as the lives of your team." Thomas quirked an eyebrow, as if he didn't already know that, he sighed and nearly growled. "Admiral every time we go on a mission we all risk our lives." Admiral Sloan nodded in agreement, "Of course, you're right Thomas and I hear congratulations are in order on your recent marriage to Counselor Deanna Troi." Thomas smiled and didn't even bother to wonder how he found out so swiftly. He was planning on telling the Admiral himself but clearly someone had beaten him to it. Nothing remained a secret for long when you were in Section 31. "Thank you Admiral, I had planned on telling you myself but clearly someone beat me to it." Thomas smiled. "Brief your team then go spend some quality time with that beautiful wife of yours as you will be leaving in two hours, Admiral Sloan out." Thomas leaned back in his chair, closed his eyes as he pinched his nose, he had a killer headache. Prior to leaving to meet up with his new bride he had contacted his entire team and informed them of the briefing time and the departure time. Once he'd done that he walked with purpose to see Deanna. After locating her he strolled into Quarks bar where he saw Jadzia and Deanna enjoying lunch.  Thomas put up his mental shields as he approached the two giggling women; he leaned down and kissed Deanna on the cheek. "We have to talk." Thomas whispered. Deanna nodded, excused herself, took her husband's hand and walked with him to their quarters in silence. As the doors slid shut to conceal them in their quarters, Deanna slid her arms around his waist. She was unable to break through the shield over his mind. "I have to go away for a while Deanna." Her breath caught in her throat, not so much at the fact that he had to go away, but the fact that whatever was calling him had to be kept from her. She looked up into his eyes, appreciating the twinkle of love that shown in them. "When?" "Tonight....I have to leave tonight." She felt an unwarranted panic welling inside her, tears came from nowhere and streamed down her cheek. "You're not coming back." The lines around Thomas's eyes deepened with her words, tears of his own threatening to break. He cradled her face in his hands. "Of course I am Imzadi....I'll be back in plenty of time for our Betazed wedding. Maybe by then you'll have worked out the arrangements with your mother." She laughed through her tears, and held his promise close to her heart. "Not likely Thomas." She wanted to shout to him, beg him to tell her everything, stop him from leaving, but instead sent him a reassuring look, that she would be fine. "I'll miss you." He reached down to kiss her, stopping for a moment to lose himself in her eyes. As his lips touched hers, her body responded to the sadness in her heart. She pulled herself as close to him as she could, hoping he would never let go. She tried to compose herself, as he pulled from her, and wiped a tear from her eye. "I love you, Deanna. I'll be back so soon, you'll never miss me." he brushed one last kiss over her lips. He then grabbed his bag and walked out of their quarters with a heavy heart.  "I love you too." She spoke the words in a whisper, as the doors slid shut behind him. She stared at the closed doors, stroking her fingers over her lips, attempting to focus on the feeling, seal them in her heart. An unknown in her mind screaming it might be the last time she felt him. Was this how it was going to be married to a SID officer she wondered? Deanna Troi Riker was completely unaware of her husband's deep high ranking involvement with Section 31, that he cleaned up messes that most people were unaware of, he did the dirty work that no one else wanted to do.
