Well, Christopher is a twin to brother Nicholas Hawthorne. Both boys were raised with a silver spoon of privilege in their mouths. They were quite close until the age of 16 when Nick displayed some very strange mutant talents. Because of it, Chris was also tested rigorously but never had the mutant gene. The family ostracized him and Christopher inherited the family fortune solely. Oddly, both sons turned out gay, though it took Christopher way longer to realize it.
Jump ahead a few years, Chris on a ship with tons of beautiful women and the boat capsized. The women were saved but Christopher being a man was left to fight for himself. He went under in a strong current and was seemingly swept out to sea. His twin, whom he had not seen in several years at this point, came to his rescue. He stayed with him for weeks while Christopher was in a coma, but once he woke, the twin took off, knowing he was okay. He heard about the details later and sought him out. Finally finding him again, they reunited and their bond was reborn. He shared the company and wealth equally with his twin, against his parents wishes.
Jump ahead a few years again. Christopher meets a man he becomes close friends with. He doesn't realize it at first, but he was falling in love. Once he did, they made it official and were together for many many years. Jake has always had a piece of his heart and soul, but now... Christopher seems to be on his own again and finds life a bit dull right now. He is looking for a way to enjoy living again and sharing time with others.
