Born on , Maisie "Fang" Aurora Keller is a Medic for the Task Force 141 and the younger sister of Alex Keller.She grew up with a very healthy relationship with her parents and older brother. Early into her school years though, her parents and teachers noticed something wasnโt right - and after a lot of fighting by her parents and teachers she got a diagnosis of ADHD.
Things went on as normal as soon as she got medicated, and she actually ended up in one of those gifted programs - which if you know, is a crock of bullshit. - She also ended up in 6th grade a year earlier than expected at just 10 years old. Things dramatically changed for her in high school though. During her Junior year (11th grade - 15 years old), Her and her best friend were in their English teacherโs classroom during Lunch to have a quiet place due to having a rough day already when her at the time boy friend and one of his friends had decided to shoot up the school. She had witnessed two of the sixteen deaths - her best friend and English teacher - and had been injured herself, which contributed to the 17 injured.
Surviving the ordeal was a whole different mess. She fell into a deep depression, along with developing nightmares, flashbacks, substance abuse, and an indescribable amount of survivors guilt, considering she never seen any warning signs from her boyfriend despite always being with him. She was transferred to a different school, not being able to go back due to the crippling C-PTSD and depression. Despite keeping her grades up at this new school, she was still suffering mentally, not wanting to open up to her family about what she was going through, so she turned to alcohol & weed, and started to cut. She easily covered this all up, being able to be a functioning alcoholic at a young age. It wasnโt until her brother found her in the family bathroom throwing up blood that her family picked up on everything going wrong with her.
This resulted in her going off to a hospital and then a behavioral health facility/rehab to get help. After a year in the mental health facility, she went home and her parents decided to put her into a homeschool program instead of going back to school, which actually was beneficial for everyone (AKA her and her parents.) She even graduated pretty quickly. With graduation, She started working out, getting healthy again and deciding to go into college, becoming a LPN and working a few years before finally going off into the Military - lying about her mental health and easily being able to hide it during psych evals - and working her way to become a Medic.
As she got older - around 26 years old - she finally decided to take something into her own hands after bringing up her health concerns to her mom when she was younger and being dismissed. While on leave, she set up a doctors appointment, and talked about how severe her period cramps were. this resulted in a short but exhausting road to the diagnosis of Endometriosis; which had gotten severe to the point she needed a hysterectomy.
