Well I guess this is the part where I spill all my life story and whatever...Ya that stuff isn't really my thing but here it is any way. I am known as Amalia True the widow and founder of the orphanage that acceps all those who have powers like me.
You see something wonderful happened one night an alien ship came over the city and dropped special particals all over the city giving special powers to all who got touched by it. We all are known as the Touched, special people with abilities that most don't understand.
In my case it's seeing the future or as I have come to call them Ripplings,but they only last for a moment and it can get slightly annoying at times to tell you the truth. My true story though is one that not many know about and that is I am from a bleek future where the world has all but been desimaited by wars and nature's fury as it were but when I tried to kill myself the alien that was there took my soul and dropped it into Mary a woman who lost everything and had jumped into the river to kill herself.
Up until now I always thought we had one enemy,a woman like us with powers named Melody but it turns out things are deeper than that and we have enemies that we are still figuring out about. One of our enemies is kidnapping those like us and who knows what they are doing to them.
We figure it out too late though because they killed one of our own by the name of Mary and yes for a time I blaimed myself and even got into a bar fight using a fiddle...long story but the point is that led me to figure out we had a betrayer among us and my vision gave me a clue on who that was.
The last thing Mary did was sing a song with her beautiful voice that brought others to us but the song as it turned out was a message for me to let me know that the alien that did this to me never abandoned me and that it need my help.
