World War I Biography

Soon enough the body of the ten year old had burned until only ash was left and then the crying of an infant came from it and Elizabeth had looked for the man who fathered her daughter and found he was gone. After that, Catriona was raised into adulthood, until the first world war, in 1915, had been drafted to be apart of a team of nurses going to the front lines to assist with the death and carnage war had left behind.
Three years, she helped try to save the lives of the men that were dying, in turn finding that she could not be burned and a part of her was deathly afraid of being around a big body of water. It made no sense to her. With the end of the war on November 11th, 1918, Cat had returned home, not the same girl as she had when she first left. When 1920 hit, the world was devastated by the oncall of the Spanish Influenza, in which Catriona had contracted, and sadly passed away.
Elizabeth had married to a man who had came back from the War, Harry Fraser, who was unaware that the girl who he met in the trenches was being rebirth from the ashes of her former self. Elizabeth was beside herself as she now had witnessed the death of her daughter twice, Harry watched as after a few days, a cry from a baby came through the closed door, and Elizabeth had to raise her daughter a third time.
This time, Catriona was named Natalie Catriona McGregor-Fraser, even though she was going to keep Natalie McGregor as her true name when the time for the immigration from the United Kingdom into the United States came, as when she was 2, she fully became an American citizen, residing in the city of New York City as her step-father had a bit of money from his family and with what he had gotten from the war, and opened up his own tavern with food where he, Elizabeth, and Natalie worked in, Nat more when she is a sixteen year old girl.
In March of 1939, she had to bury her mother, and her step-father had then sent her to work to live in his home and bar, until Germany had declared war. By this time, Nat had a few people who had came into her step-father's bar, causing a fight due to him not paying the Mafia and when a fire broke loose, Harry was killed and Nat caught under a beam, she didn't know she could morph into the firebird as a big ball of flame left the bar in ruins, and a few hundred miles away, Nat was found shivering, and naked. After that, she had been trying to figure out how to turn that power back, as she was afraid it would hit when she is least expecting it.
Natalie had asked to be in the fighting for the American Army, and in proving herself to Colonel Phillips (who then later founds SHIELD), would work on her own as a lone wolf in case she needed to implode an enemy encampment. Saving close to 100 men, she was promoted to Corporal McGregor, and soon worked beside Dr. Erskine in finding someone worthy of this "Super Soldier Serum". As she started to learn more about Hydra and the kind of power they were looking for in behind Hitler, she was a little more worried that the American Army would be looking at her to be the force to stop the Nazis and even Hydra.
In June of 1943, and learning that Erskine had chosen Steven Rogers, she only briefly met the man (who to her looked cute and though a little skinny, she knew he had a good heart if the Doctor had chosen him for this serum test) before she was told to head out for Britain, as she would be working on her own until she was to be drafted into the 107th when their battalion was attacked by Hydra soldiers. That was where she met Steve, again, but this time he got... bigger. And while she was friendly with him, she knew not to get too close when she was told to take on the Hydra facility in Austria, and when she finally got there, the men were starting to past her. Inside the factory, she got to one of the exits on the bottom floor when she encountered seeing one man get thrown and then looking up, she saw Rogers jump just as another explosion went off and she used what she knew of her ability over fire to keep the explosion to a minimum to allow him to jump before the whole factory exploded, with her in it.
Again, the Phoenix, as she started to call the firebird from New York City, saved her though when she got found, she was nude yet again and was back at the camp. Seemed Agent Penny Carter had seen her other form and with Colonel Phillips aware of her other form, they had gotten her into her own tent and once she awoke, Rogers was almost back at the 107th encampment.
Having spoken to Rogers and Barnes about her "abilities", she joined their group, her ability to create and snuff out fires and explosions started to get easier when she was needed, but she became thick as thieves with the men, some of them calling her Phoenix to just give her a nickname.
On the location of Dr. Zola, Phillips called her in to temporarily suspend her as she was more valuable to him alive than dead and thinking this mission would kill her, he had her hang back with him and Penny. She and Penny had become good friends and soon had began debating on things that was happening and what it would mean for them in the War.
Soon enough, word came back the Bucky had died in action and that a few weeks later, Steve had gone down in the ice, it felt her own world was falling apart within the six years after the start of the war to now, she had lost everyone she loved and cared for. In doing so, she worked even harder with Colonel Phillips and Agent Carter, the birthright of SHIELD whom she had been drafted in, but was not a founding member of SHIELD.
The Testing. Nat had lived, until she was 72 years old, a man by the name of Nicholas Fury had spoken with her and when she explained she had no other family, had promised that SHIELD was just as a family as she needed, and when she sat on her deathbed, he had held her hand before she let her last breath go, having then allowed the Phoenix come out and the body turned to ash. An old man came in and had spoken to Fury, and when the child emerged from the ashes in 1992, Fury took on the responsibility of the child, knowing they would have to do some testing.
For the first ten years of her life, Natalie McGregor had been under extreme testing and with Fury being the man who took care of her, she thought it was normal. It was not until he had provoked the Phoenix at the age of 15 out that a fireproof room imploded and the bird acted out of fear as he had found a way to control it, tears coming out of it and once Nat was back in her human form, he showed her a new ability of hers. Her tears were those of healing and a man who had suffered a heart complication from a surgery and on life support was awoken and walked out of the hospital the same day he had her tears.
Now as a 19 year old woman in 2011 who had an interest in science was there when SHIELD had located Captain America, yet she was just an outsider as she spoke to Fury that she knew the Captain. He took this as an interest and used her for when he woke, though she was a lot younger than when he had first met her in 1943, she would be the most familiar face to him.
Still not an affiliated face of the Avengers, she still was close in the loop when things went south. Fury still didn't trust her control over the Phoenix.

The Scottish Fury
There is a difference between living and life. I have been doing neither.
Nathaniel โNateโ James Fraser was born in 1840 to his mother, Sarah Annebeth Fraser and the Roman God Vulcan, while he knew he was different, Nate had learned once he had hit 25 years of age that he had remained looking the same. His mother had spoken to him when he had been 20 years old about who he was, and had explained how he had been able to get into a burning barn and got the animals out without burning himself.
World War I. Sarah had married when he was 12, to someone from the MacKenzie clan, though the name had been long forgotten by Nate, he had left the home by 1870, and while he whored around, he didnโt know much about love to settle down with the right woman. So when 1912 came and he had been told to enlist in the BlackWatch, he stood for the chance, helping his fellow officers and even meeting a nurse in around 1917 who he knew as Catriona McGregor. The officer was his second cousin, Harry Fraser, from his grandfatherโs side, and last he knew, the woman whom he had known as Catriona had died in 1920 to the Spanish Influenza.
World War 2. Soon enough, he had learned Harry had a child with Elizabeth McGregor, whom they named Natalie Catriona McGregor-Fraser, and had left in 1922 to immigrate to the US. Now with the time going forward to 1939, he had yet again (under the name James McTavish) enlisted in the British Army, this time to a position of Sergeant of the Scots Guard, 1st Battalion, in which he did his own fair share in the War. When he learned of the Howling Commandos, and with it a woman who called herself the Roman Phoenix, he was curious to know about her. Having asked to be on leave to spend a few days in London, he had made it work out where he caught the woman whom he thought he had remembered from the first war, surprised she was still alive.
He soon learned that the woman was the same one whom he met in the war, but under a different name. When he tried to test her by warming his hands and while most would be affected by it, she was not. With her then being brought in by a Sergeant Barnes, Nate had gone back to his regiment before the war was done, and while he had lost many men, he heard the Howling Commandos lost more than he would ever with Captain Rogers gone down with a plane, and Sergeant Barnes having died in action, yet no one had recovered the body. It was when he learned that Miss McGregor-Fraser had been on her way to Italy, and he followed.
After the War to Present Day. On the hills of Mount Vesuvius, he watched the girl ride on the back of a horse and then up in the sky, a firebird in which he had only heard of through the talk of his men, but to know for certain, he left the location to live through London until the 80s when he moved to New York City, having been hired by a local inventor to help build and create machinery for the US Army.
It wasnโt until 1990 that he met the Roman Phoenix again, this time as an old woman. When he explained he had seen her at Pompeii that day, she confided in him that she was a demi-goddess, but while she ages and dies, a new body comes from the ashes, like that of the Phoenix, and he kind of envied her abilities, but was there as she got sick and passed in her sleep.
The passing of his half-sister was one that had affected him in the slightest, into learning of a place to go live out in Montana, he had lived out there (as she had made up her mind about being a test subject for S.H.I.E.L.D in which he didn't argue with) for the next 19 years training and showing horses off for the world stage of the American Quarter Horse Association with his prized stallion, Mercy of Flames.
