About me: I was born Wolfgang Gellar in Dreisbach, Germany on a wintery night early in 1912 (or so I was told). My parents and I immigrated to the U.S. through Ellis Island the next year just before things blew up (figuratively and literally) in the homeland in 1914. In 1916 we moved to Vallejo, CA (in the SF Bay area, or the "Gray Area" as we used to call it) where my father worked in the Naval shipyard. From what I can recall of those years, they were blissful - I spent hours roaming the hills and canyons around our home (now all houses), often coming back with toads, lizards, or snakes in my pockets or in a cloth bag. In '30 I went to college at UC Davis to study viticulture and enology (winemaking). What was I thinking, you might say, it was Prohibition? Prohibition was lifted in '33, but because of the Depression, I couldn't find a job at a vineyard. Yet a friend of mine got me a position in Hollywood with Paramount building movie sets. The movie industry was on fire in those days, and it was a thrill to be a part of it. I saw some of the best actors and Directors ever in action, but they were so busy and I was just one of the "invisible" working the sets. But I recall meeting Zita Johann, a firey young Hungarian actress, at a party in 1936 or so. Zita worked for the competition (Universal), but we hit it off. I kept in contact with her until her untimely death in 1993. She is probably best known for her starring role opposite Karloff in the 1932 classic "The Mummy", but she was in love with the stage and theater, and would much rather be remembered for that aspect of her career. I even met the infamous Daisy Adair on a Hollywood set around 1938 (not Gone With the Wind), but I'll not go into any details. When WW11 came our way I joined the Navy and served for 2 years on a Destroyer in the northern Pacific. We didn't see much action up there, but I distinctly recall watching a Japanese torpedo on radar go right under the hull - probably missed us by inches. After the War, I returned to school at UCLA and received an MS working under Dr. Raymond Cowles. My Thesis dealt with the ecology and taxonomy of toads (Bufo boreas) in northern CA (a return to my childhood pursuits). After that I worked at national wildlife refuges in northern California until 1966. I had never been attracted to the Beat Generation stuff happenin in the 50s, but when Flower Power and Hippiedom happened, I was there, man! My lady friend Mary (who changed her name to Windsong, really) and I quit our jobs with the Fish and Wildlife Service and moved to San Francisco in 66. We had a bitchin ice cream shop in The Haight - it had groovey and psychedelic murals on the walls, and Jerry Garcia was a regular. We served ice cream to a lot of the S.F. rockers of the day, and in 69 we went across country to be a part of Woodstock. I recall waking up in a tent, still stoned from the night before, listening to Grace Slick singing White Rabbit. Things were degrading in The Haight by the late 60s and Windsong and I split up (I've never been any good at relationships, but I have no regrets. And as my ole Granny Schultz used to say, Fuck it!). I went back to work at a Fish and Wildlife Service refuge, this time in SW Arizona (Cabeza Prieta NWR). What a spectacular place - vast expanses of virtually untouched deserts ('course that has changed now, too, due to Border Patrol and smugglers). I worked there until 1977 when I retired at age 65. I then moved to Tucson, AZ, where I propagated and grew specialty cacti and other succulents for a while, and then something very strange happened. I woke up one morning as an amphibian. Squat, warty, green, cold, and slimy. But my friend Rosie cast a reverse were-toad spell so that I reverted to near-human guise for 3 days around the full moon. For those 3 days, I would kind of look like Lorne, a character from the TV series Angel. Maybe because of that, I changed my name to Lorin and then was adopted into the Angel/Buffy family; Giles even appointed me as his Junior Watcher. Thanks to a spell cast by Willow, I'm not restricted to being Lorin just around the full moon - I can now shape shift between Bufo the toad and Lorin the near-human, at will. Isn't that cool? I worked for Angel Investigations in Los Angeles for a while, but I'm now employed by Kate Lockley as a detective. Lockley and Associates is the gum shoe, investigative arm of A.I. Kate is my mentor in this wierd place and my best friend! Two nights a week I bartend at the Caritas Club, which is owned and operated by Lorne.
Thank you for accepting my request. Currently, looking for BTVS and Angel verse roleplayers. I have loved the series for a long time but never knew which character to Roleplay. To be honest I feel I would love either Fred or Faith but would assume they were taken, so I created an Original Character. I think her and Lorne would get along well despite her hatred for demons. Please let me know if there are any rules I need to abide or triggers I need to avoid in our Roleplays. I, personally, do not have any triggers and am open to anything. Here’s a short biography of my character:

Ava is an angel created by the Powers to defend humans. All Seraphs roamed the world in the beginning of time similar to demons but were eradicated by the Mohra army. They would return thousands of years later to take control of the human realm once again.
(Depending on the series is who resurrects her.) Ava is awakened prematurely. Her innate powers only developing as she encounters others. Her powers start off simple: Super strength, fast healing, fast movements and can communicate only with humans telepathically. Her power is linked to her temple. The temple changes locations every time it is resealed. She is also vowed to never harm humans that do not pose a threat.

Ava’s purpose is to seek help from the scoobies, or Angel Investigations crew to return back to heaven for the coming of the true fall.
