The feelings that seeped through Laurie was something that she couldn't get out of her mind. She felt like she was speaking to her own daughter, the same daughter that she had lost to the 'Boogeyman' that Allyson was speaking of. She couldn't believe her granddaughter was speaking to her like this, and she somewhat wanted to fall within herself and pretend that she didn't exist.ย
Laurie had hidden herself for so long, and now, she wanted to hide again, something that made her feel like she was failing as a grandmother and a resident of the town. She wanted to protect everybody, but she didn't know how. She didn't know how when she would never get over what had happened to her and what would continue happening to her.ย
"I'm not handcuffed to anything Allyson. You have to know, he's evil, and he reminds me so much of..." She stopped, and she sighed, perching her glasses back onto her nose, and she let out a sigh, a sigh that she didn't know would help the situation. She knew Allyson was too far gone, and she would never understand the predicament that Laurie happened to be in. She would never understand what her grandmother had been through.ย
She had been through hell, and she had survived. She didn't want Allyson to go through that same amount of hell, something that she didn't think the female would ever understand. "I don't want you to go through what I went through, trying to survive and trying to keep myself above whatever when it came to him. He never died, and he never will. He's invincible, and I fear the person you're with now...he's like him. It'll never end."ย
Laurie felt crazy, but that wasn't anything new. Her daughter had always made her feel crazy, her son-in-law had always made her feel crazy, and now Allyson was doing the same thing and Laurie didn't understand it. She looked to the female, and she was trying to understand, but she couldn't fathom why Allyson would be doing something like this and making a mockery of the relationship they had built.ย
"You need to listen to me Allyson, and you're not." Laurie said, her hues looking at her granddaughter, as she sighed underneath her breath. She knew Allyson was stubborn and hardheaded like her mother, but her mother was now gone, and now Laurie was the person in charge; somebody that had to take care of them both, and she'd be damned if she let something happen to the one remaining family member that she had left.ย
"It's not me that you need to be precarious of. It's that boy you're hanging around with. Corey. I don't trust him." She said, her eyes coming to life with a panic behind them. She knew that she was judging a book by it's cover, but she couldn't help but feel like Corey was somebody that she couldn't trust, and she didn't want Allyson hanging around him. He reminded her of somebody that she didn't want her granddaughter around, somebody associated with Michael.
She didn't know why that was, but she couldn't explain it to Allyson either. It was something that sat in the pit of her stomach and made her ill to think about and when she looked at her granddaughter, she knew Allyson would rebellious and wouldn't understand either. She looked at her, and she sighed, her hand moving through her hair slowly. "I need you to listen to me. That boy is no good." She said softly, her eyes trailing over Allyson as she spoke to her.ย
I know most struggle with the holidays, myself included.ย However, I am sending this here to tell you that -ย I notice you, I appreciate you and I love you.ย Whether you're struggling or not, whether you celebrate or not - I hope this Christmas is good to you the best possible way, even if in little bits.ย And I most certainly know who I am sending this to, even though its generic.ย Just so it isn't thought this is done just to be done, no, I choose who I send to.ย Please never give up, never stop being you, and never forget that you're here for a reason. Thank you for being on my list, even if we don't speak a lot, thank you for sticking around.
Sorry i been gone. I got sick and then family had a party i needed to help with. But my reply is coming this weekend. And then i'm taking 2 weeks off for christmas.ย
