Leon Scott Kennedy is an American federal agent for the Division of Security Operations (D.S.O.). Prior to this, he served as a police officer with the Raccoon City Police Department (R.P.D.) for a single day. Claire is also in the same predicament and together they unravel a horrible truth. The young Sherry Birkin is also involved and her father happens to be the one behind the C Virus. A virus she unknowingly carries around.
The actions in the city led to his successful recruitment as a member of US-STRATCOM after the incident in Raccoon City. After several missions, where one was to rescue the daughter of the President, Ashley Graham, that had been kidnapped by a cult called Los Illuminados, Leon never expected to be involved in another zombie outbreak.
It wasn’t over yet. Tall Oaks was the destination for the mission where he and Helena Harper were sent too. At the Ivy University the latest president, Adam Benford, was going to hold a speech, but was turned into a zombie. Since it what he was going to reveal would have been a disaster.
Accused for the murder he and his fellow agent Helena Harper finally defeated the one behind it. Security Advisor Derek Simmons, which was punished by being infected by his old colleague Clara Radames, transformed to look like Leon's old flame Ada Wong.
After another zombie outbreak in China the world was eventually returned to normal, thanks to the antibodies of the so called C Virus curing those infected. It didn’t stop here however. With the cure the virus had already mutated and everyone was infected, and upon death the body was returned to life. Somehow the brain was reactivated, turning the once kind human to a monster. And the only way to kill it was to stab it in the head.
Leon had, after making the mistake of joining another fraction, The former Fireflies, who in turn had sought shelter among the Western Liberation Front or Wolves, was in war with the Seraphites, or Scars, their name deriving from the fact that they cut themselves in the face. It was enough for Leon that humans was too upset with fighting when it was survival that was more important then setting bounderies. He had seen the last of the Wolves when one of them set out on her own, together with a group of friends, looking for some guy called Joel Miller, and she seemed to be obsessed with finding him and settling an old score.
Abby Anderson was her name, and she had left the Stadium for some chalet, not far from Jackson, together with Owen Moore, Mel, Manny Alvarez, Nora Harris, Jordan, Nick and Leah, and it wouldn't surprise if they were all dead. None of the Fireflies nor the Wolves had heard about the New Frontier, so Leon was safe and didn't hide the brand on the side of his neck. However, he did the mistake of bumbing into members of this group anew while being on his own, and it was a familiar person that saved him for this predicament. Someone that had a crush on him, and he had once more made a mistake vying for someone who wasn't genuinally interested in him.
And the thought of having a relationship and being romantically involved in these times was the last thing on his mind right now. Especially when it was about surviving and as long as there were walkers, infected and whatnot the idea of settling down was not going to happen anytime soon. Not being immune to either bite or spores Leon could easily become one of them.
