A Princess Of Arendelle

Secondary headline.

"We can't keep her.." Queen Gerda said quietly. She stood beside her husband, the both of them stood just outside the broken remains of the ice palace that had been standing just before the Queen captured and trapped her very own sister, Princess Ingrid. The child the King now held was his own child with Ingrid. A living and breathing reminder of his misdeeds with her.

"What would you have me do Gerda? Abandon her here on this mountain to freeze to death?" He asked. Gerda simply stared at her husband's child. "The cold doesn't bother her. Look at her.. she doesn't even shiver or cry..." she muttered softly. The King only rolled his eyes. "Then what do you expect me to do? Abandon her so the wolves can have her?"

Both husband and wife shared a look for a moment before the King cradled his daughter closer to his chest. "Absolutely not! Gerda.. I... I know I made a mistake with Ingrid. I can admit that. And I am sorry for it. But this.. this is my daughter and I love her. And she is not a mistake. And not someone I am willing to give up." He said firmly. "I mean it, Gerda. You can have whatever you want when we get home. Punish me for the rest of our lives if you want. But I am taking my daughter home to Arendelle. And she will be a princess."

Queen Gerda was hesitant for a few moments. She didn't want to raise the bastard child of her sister and husband. The babe was a constant reminder of her husband's betrayal and of her sister. But... what could she do at this point? Finally relenting she nodded. "When we return home we will adjust everyone's memories. Make the people believe that she is our child."

The King nodded, grateful for his wife's mercy on both him and his child. Looking down to her as she slept in his arms he smiled. She was a perfect baby. "I don't recall Ingrid ever telling us her name. I suppose we'll have to give her one." Gerda said before being interrupted by Agnarr. "Elsa. Her name is Elsa." He said smiling more. "Princess Elsa of Arendelle.." he whispered softly looking down lovingly upon his newborn baby girl.

Be A Good Girl

"Elsa we have warned you time and time again." Queen Gerda said in a sharp and stern tone. Her husband King Agnarr spoke a bit more gently to his daughter. "Elsa, what happened with your magic today?" He asked. Concern in his voice. Looking down to him as he knelt before her Elsa hesitated before sighing softly. "I.. I lost control. I didn't mean to. I just... ever since Anna can't remember and I have to hide it. Papa... I can't practice control because I can't use my magic at all."

Before either Elsa nor Agnarr could speak Gerda spoke. "Anna can't ever know of your magic! I won't have her hurt again!" Tearing up at her mother's words Elsa looked down, the floor beneath her feet frosting over and a flurry starting to fall over her. "I'm sorry.." she whispered. Gerda getting irritated stormed from the room leaving Elsa with her father.

Though he was somewhat leery of Elsa's magic he didn't get so easily aggravated like his wife did. "Elsa.. Elsa look at me..." he said taking her hands despite how cold they were. "You want to be a good girl, yes?" Sniffling back her tears she nodded. "Yes, Papa. I'm trying." He nodded forcing a small smile. "I know Snowflake. But you must try harder for your mother." He instructed her.

Nodding Elsa closed her eyes muttering to herself. "Be a good girl.. be a good girl..." she whispered, trying so hard to will her magic to stop. After a few moments, she opened her eyes and the snow had stopped, the frost beneath her feet had melted leaving the carpet soaked.

"I did it!" She said excitedly. Agnarr nodded and only gave a small smile. "That's my girl. Now go to your room. I'll come by later and we'll have dinner together. Alright?" Nodding Elsa moved to hug her father though stopped as he seemed to flinch away. Backing away she now forced her own smile before leaving, heading off for her room as she was told. "Be the good girl you always have to be. And everything will be alright." She told herself quietly.

Pregnant

It had been almost four months now since the Arendelle trio had returned home, reclaimed the throne, and sent Prince Hans and his remaining brothers back to the Southern Isles to face justice from their eldest brother who was now King.

Life had been good it seemed. Anna and Kristoff finally married and seemed happier than ever. Elsa seemed content in her role as Queen however, there was a certain sadness to the snow queen then again that just  was her way most of the time, Though this sadness seemed different. Far more profound and rooted in something that had happened during her time spent in Storybrooke. At first, Anna had assumed it was the passing of her aunt, Elsa's mother Ingrid. But this sadness was different and went on for too long.

One morning when Elsa hadn't shown up for breakfast with Anna and Kristoff per usual the newly wed couple went in search of her. Finding her in the gardens of the castle, tucked away with it flurrying around her Anna was the first to speak. ".. Elsa? What's wrong?"

Before Anna could utter another word Elsa shot her a look. "I've just seen the doctors. I.. I'm pregnant." She said in almost a whisper. She flinched next as both Anna and Kristoff blurted out "what!?"

Quickly Anna's mind began to race! Who was Elsa having a child with?! Who would she have even done.. that with. She wasn't married! What would happen to her? It was Kristoff who now spoke. "Who's the father?" He asked.

Raising her hand Elsa shook her head. "Please. I want to be alone. I.. am so terrified. I can't be a mother. I don't know how." She blurted out. Gently Anna moved closer taking Elsa's hands. "Elsa it's okay. We'll be here with you." She promised.

Kristoff however still seemed set on finding out who the father was. "Who did it?" He asked. Elsa looked to him "what do you care who the father is?" She snapped back though this time Kristoff was ready for her sass. "Because I'm your brother. Who did it?" He asked again.

Elsa sighed closing her eyes "... it happened in Storybrooke." She said quietly. "But I won't tell you who. It doesn't matter now anyway." She said certain she couldn't return to Storybrooke even if she wanted to. Which she did not!

Kristoff seemed hesitant "well.. it was... I mean he didn't.." Elsa rolled her eyes as she understood what Kristoff was hinting at. "No. It wasn't anything like that it was just.. a lapse in judgment."

She said tearing up as Anna hugged her. "It's gonna be alright Elsa. You're going to have a baby. And we're going to help you raise it. Right?" Anna looked to Kristoff who came over and nodded. "Yeah, of course." He said and came over setting a hand on Elsa's shoulder.

Sighing quietly Elsa knew that both Anna and Kristoff would support her. Though she was still somewhat in shock that she was pregnant. It was completely unexpected. How could this happen? From just one time.

A Different Beginning..

❄
"Elsa! Elsa please! Stop!" Shouted Princess Anna off in the distance as she chased after her sister, Queen Elsa. A title that Elsa had only just taken on, one she felt certain after tonight the people would not want her to continue on as their Queen. After tonight they'd view her as an uncontrollable monster. To be seen that way was one of Elsa's greatest fears which was why she was fleeing. She just had to get away.

Stumbling down the uneven stone stairs that led from the castle to the shores of the fjord Elsa looked back to see how close Anna was to catching her, it was then she heard the light crack. The wet sand beneath her feet was beginning to freeze. She could freeze the water in the sand and within the fjord. She looked out over the dark water, fear and hesitation filling her until she heard the voice of Anna again, she was closing in.

Taking a deep breath Elsa stepped onto the fjord and it began to freeze beneath her foot just as she thought it would. That was all she needed before she darted off across the dark waters of the fjord that led to the sea. She stopped for only a moment when she heard Anna calling again, pleading for her to come back. At that moment the ice beneath Elsa's feet cracked and broke plunging her into the freezing waters.

Desperately Elsa tried to resurface but due to her dress and cape she was weighed down and the fjord was still freezing soon it froze over her leaving no space to come up from. Elsa pounded against the ice but it was too strong, she was too strong. After a few moments of struggling Elsa fell still. Her slim frame sank to the floor of the fjord. There she lay motionless.

It seemed there was no help for Elsa, here she would drown, die at her own hand. She had always considered she might, but never this way. Unconscious of what was happening around her Elsa's body began to glow a white light blueish color, this magical glow enveloped her. When it stopped Elsa still lay there, still on the floor of the fjord but she was no longer dressed in her coronation gown but instead, a blue bustier and a tailfin to match. Her pale porcelain skin practically glowed in the dark water. Her platinum blonde hair was no longer tightly tied back but instead was in a loose braid now.

Elsa was unaware of what her magic had just done. It had saved her life by changing her into the only thing that it could to save her life. A mermaid. When Elsa finally awoke she'd find herself part of a whole new world and with a new friend who was lurking nearby and had witnessed the whole transformation and was fascinated by it.
