Interview Task Goodness

1st Interview: Chase Harvey

1.What brought me to Charleston? Well before here I lived in Glasier Heights New York, uhm I ran into a little trouble there with a girl. I fell for her like an idiot and she cheated on me, like a lot. It caused a crap ton of drama within the group of friends. So, I just up and moved once again. Starting a new business I figured why not do that in a new place. I landed here and I haven’t looked back since. Heartbreaks are a thing with me apparently, they see a nice guy and take advantage of it. It terrifies me to think It could happen again you know, history repeating itself.

2. My favorite memory was when I lived in San Diego, Before my life was turned upside and caused all my issues to this day. I was engaged to a girl named Charlotte and Man was I in love, met her in high school and spent the better part of my life with her, I came home from work one day to find out she was pregnant -smiles; I just remember hearing her heart beat for the first time and god was it like music to my ears. But uhm things didn’t turn out the way they were supposed to and that memory takes me to a dark place sometimes.

3. My worst date ?! Oh god you’re killing me here. Uhh, I had just moved to nee york and I met my best friend Allegra and at the time we were both single and -laughs; I dropped a plate of spaghetti into her lap and she was wearing this really pretty white lace sundress. Lets just say I ruined it and embarrassed her in front of all our friends.

4. I can’t live without my dog, Bruno, I got him as a companion dog to help with the drinking after I got out of prison. Ive had him since he was a little puppy and now he’s a huge one and knocks me down whenever I get home from work. It brightens my days to be honest.

5. My dream vacation would be I don’t know really I spent a lot of time traveling while I was in  New York, you know to clear my head of all the sh*t I was dealing with again. But honestly I think Australia would be a great time. Maybe live there for a bit as a ‘vacation’.

6. My favorite movie would be UP , yes UP the Disney film , the movie is so carefree and teaches you about love in all its shapes and forms, I’m a hopeless romantic and my mom always taught me to love because my family knows nothing of that. I have a black heart and no emotions towards certain things but damn do I want to live a woman the was he loved Ellie.

7. Where do I see myself in ten years -rubs his face; thats a hard one because the way my life is going right now I see myself back in Spain again helping out or working for my uncle. -nods; where I personally would like to see myself at a better stand point in ten years I’ll be 37, I want my company to launch and my own brand to be known, I want to find the girl of my dreams and marry her, get over my fear of having kids. Be successful you know. Have a name that I can leave behind for people to think of and just smile.

1. WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO CHARLESTON?

Needed to get away from life in the city and get a fresh start at life.

2. WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE MEMORY?My favorite memory ould have to be the day I met Makenna. You know when you meet someone and instantly now they're going to be important to you that's how it was. We later found out we were related which only mde it better.

3. WHAT WAS YOUR WORST DATE?

My worst date hmm It would have to be when I was going out with an man who was much older than myself. I was used to older men but not really dating so I drank a little before the date and well I made a fool of myself the entire night. Tripped when I was walking. Slurring my words. ya know the whole shabang. Worst part is I don't remember most of the night and ended up with my head in the toilet.

4. WHAT ONE THING YOU CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT? WHY?

I can't live without my family and friends. They keep me sane in this crazy thing called life.

5. WHAT YOUR DREAM VACATION?

My dream vacation would have to be an all inclusive trip with all my girls. To any Island really. Just would love to spend the week in a bikini, drinking, gossipping, and making memories.

6. WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE MOVIE? WHY? (DOES IT MEAN SOMETHING TO YOU, OR YOU LIKE THE MESSAGE THEY TELL ETC).

Matilda because I've always wanted to be able to manipulate/move things with my mind. Imagine how great life could be.

7. WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS?

In ten years I hope to be in love with a kid or two maybe. I would love to own my own business one day. I would need to find my calling first. I'd also love to be able to just spend my time traveling the world.

3rd Interview: ALEXA WARREN

1. WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO CHARLESTON?

Simply put? Two things. School and my bestie, Elfie. We had always planned to go to school together and Charleston had everything we both needed.

2. WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE MEMORY?

My favorite? That's hard, I have been so lucky to have so many good ones but I think mine would have to be from a couple years ago. I had just gotten hired at a law firm doing secretarial work while I finish school and Elfie and I stayed up all night baking and dancing around the house while alternating between Disney and horror movies.

(In case you have not guessed yet, my Elfie can make any day an amazing day.)

3. WHAT WAS YOUR WORST DATE?

July 24, 2012...

Just kidding. My worst date has to be one I went on three months ago. I met the man at Starbucks, at least I was supposed to. He was twenty minutes late, tried to kiss me the second he walked in, then spent the entire time talking about himself without taking a breath. When I tried to ask him a question about what he was telling me about, he acted like I hadn't spoken at all. I finished my tea and then Elfie called, rescuing me yet again. He tried to kiss me when I stood to leave, needless to say, I changed my number after that.

4. WHAT ONE THING YOU CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT? WHY?

My Elfie, but I guess since you specified thing.... hmm. I already know I should hang my head in shame but I would have to say my phone. Not for the reasons you may think. Elfie is my only family here in Charleston, I have four older brothers that would drive directly here if i didn't answer their messages or calls. Even without that I LIVE for my music and books, all of which I keep on my phone.

5. WHAT YOUR DREAM VACATION?

My dream vacation would have to be a stay in a private bungalow in Tahiti. Stretching out and relaxing in the water, no classes or homework, just me and my best, soaking up the sun and waves.

6. WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE MOVIE? WHY? (DOES IT MEAN SOMETHING TO YOU, OR YOU LIKE THE MESSAGE THEY TELL ETC).

Movies, now you're talking my language. I absolutely LOVE scary movies. I have a slightly irrational fear of Clowns so IT has to be my favorite. When the photo starts to move and he reaches out, ah, I love it.

7. WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS?

In ten years I hope to be a partner at a firm, or running my own. Warren, Attorney at Law. Has a nice ring to it, doesn't it? As far as my personal life, probably living right next door to Elfie so our future kids will be best friends too.

5th Interview:Theodore Denaro

1. What brought you to Charleston? Charleston is actually where my son's mother is from. When we found out she was pregnant we couldn't settle on where we would raise him. I'm from Cleveland, Ohio and you know, that's where I grew up and we both wanted our son to grow up where each of us did. I was stubborn and we never actually got to decide though. She died shortly after his birth and as a way to honor her only real wish, to raise a family in her hometown, I packed me and the little dude up, planted roots and it's been home for us since then.

2. What's your favorite memory? I'm gonna jump right on out there cliché as hell, but it has to be when my son was born. I was scared to death that I wouldn't be a good father. I was still just some stupid kid after all but when I got to hold him in my arms for the first time and he looked up at me and grabbed my finger with his tiny hand like, 'Don't worry pops, we got this.' I can't even begin explain how much that meant and still means to me.

3. What was your worst date? Uh... probably the first Tinder date I ever went on which was like a year ago. We were supposed to meet up at a bar for drinks and all that but the longer I had to wait, the more nervous I became and one drink lead to like 20 and the next thing I know she pops up beside me to introduce herself and I end up hurling all over her new dress. Needless to say that date ended before it even officially started because she literally ran away from me crying. I know. I'm a f***ing mess.

4. What's one thing you can't live without? Why? That's easy. Family, man. They may drive me crazy and I may not always be the easiest person for them to deal with BUT no matter what, the ones that matter, they've always stood by me, even when I've been a complete f*** up and never once turned their backs on me. I don't think I'd be where I am today without them.

5. What's your dream vacation? I've never really put much thought into a vacation and haven't been on a legit one in forever. But if I had to choose I'd have yo say that I would simply just like to travel and maybe go on some adventures Tomb Raider style. It would be pretty dope to go explore ancient ruins all over the globe.

6. What is your favorite movie? (Does it mean something to you, or do you like the message they tell etc). The original Star Wars trilogy is where it's at for me. I got hooked on them when I was a kid thanks to my pops. If I can remember it right, I think that's one of the first things we truly bonded over besides music. I guess its just a sentimental thing and a rite of passage for is Evans boys seeing as I got my little dude hooked on them too.

7. Where do you see yourself in 10 years. Hopefully still alive kicking for one and still being the rad dad I am. Past that, I'm not sure. I've had a few close calls and the slap you hard in the face reality checks over the years and it made me realize that I need tp try and slow my ass down and enjoy all that all that I have, so I'm just trying to take life one day at a time.

6th Interview: Kenna

1. What brought you to Charleston? Well I wanted to escape the ever-loving father and brother because I was 18, I didn’t want an arranged marriage and I didn’t want to be married at 18. Like hello let me be young. Let me make mistakes. Let me be me!!

2. What's your favorite memory? So, when I was younger my father and I were bonded at the hip... when he wasn’t working. Every weekend he would always make sure to come home and NEVER be late. With out fail he would always take me to a little ice cream store every night from Friday to Sunday. It was nice we really got to bond, and I miss that. We would walk the streets of Italy with the sun on our back and by the time we got home the sun would be setting or it would already be night.

3. What was your worst date? So, I have yet to have a worst date. I haven’t really dated many buuuut I can tell you what It would be. Most girls want to dress up and go to a fancy place… Not this girl. I am a home body…. Somewhat so like going someplace fancy would be awkward for me. and just uncomfortable.

4. What one thing you can't live without? Why? FINLEY!!! Sorry but that boy is my life. I mean I made him… Birthed him like he is the only thing in the world I can’t live without. If something happened to him id probably die.

5. What your dream vacation? Oh, I really wanna go to Paris!!! Like there is sooo much to do plus is the most romantic place ever!! Plus, Paris has a Disney so I can hit it while I am there. Then it would be like a double dream in 1 swoop.

6. What is your favorite movie? Why? (does it mean something to you, or you like the message they tell etc). Longest ride. The feels are so real with this movie its ridiculous. Over the years its been the one thing giving me hope that love like that exists and I wanted to find it. Like who doesn’t. Even when I was broken that movie just gave me so much hope.

7. Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Hmmm. Well possibly married. Maybe another kid who knows but ill be in my 30s to I really hope I am doing something with studying Orcas.

I needed a change of scenery and to get as far away from Chicago and everyone in it as possible.

2. WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE MEMORY?

My favorite memory has got to be the first time I went to a music festival. I was twelve and one of my foster brothers brought me along, mainly out of pity but it was so much fun. Best night of my existence.

.3. WHAT WAS YOUR WORST DATE?

My worst date would have to be in sophomore year. I was asked to the prom by a senior cheerleader. She had the personality of a shoe, she obnoxiously chewed gum the whole night and wouldn't even dance with me. The best part of the night was when she ditched me for the prom King.

4. WHAT'S ONE THING YOU CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT? WHY?

The one thing i can't live without would be my dog, Kingston. He is everything to me. He is my comedic relief when I'm stressed, he snuggles me when I'm sad and he is the most loyal dog I have ever met. My best friend.

5. WHAT YOUR DREAM VACATION?

My dream vacation would be to go to disney. I want my picture taken with Jasmine. I think we would look quite good together. I would also love to just back pack through Europe.

.6. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE? WHY? (DOES IT MEAN SOMETHING TO YOU, OR YOU LIKE THE MESSAGE THEY TELL ETC).

My favorite movie is The Breakfast Club. The movie is a classic and used to give my younger self hope that I wasn't alone, I wasn't the only person going through hell and soon I would meet people that accepted me and who I could call family.

7. WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS?

I see myself with a better job, one that doesn't mentally drain me. Kingston by my side with one or two more dogs. Married to the love of my life with at least one child. Happy, I see myself happy.
