The Still Point Continuance: Time
Don't you sometimes wish you could step back in time to relive some momentous event, perhaps a turning point, or to visit with someone departed, or just be in the moment with someone, a special moment? Well, so it was with Spike and Katarina. On their fifth anniversary (has it really been that long?) they decided to relive the night they met. It was January 2010, near Echo Park, half a block north of Sunset Boulevard. A magical evening for the both of them. They rendezvoused for a light dinner at a diner that appeared mundane from the outside but was special on the inside (alas, though, in the intervening five years, the name had changed from McNally's Diner to Caf Bottega Louie). A place that caters to vampires, or is at least accommodating for them. Spike's Portebello Linguini looked Italian, but it was made entirely from blood products. Easy on the vampire digestive system. Later they would walk a few blocks to a coffee shop that was hosting a poetry slam. Spike would get up on stage to recite one of his now famous (or is it infamous) poems. But you can never really go back, can you? When you try, something always goes wrong.
