The Hopeless Quest for Answers {Closed}

Leia sat in the cockpit of her personal heavily armored ship, a determined expression upon her face even as she gazed stonily out the viewport at the streaks of stars as the Alderaan III whipped by. She exhaled sharply as she leaned back in her seat, back straight as could be.

There was much to see, much to ponder, and much to figure out. Things were not how she remembered. In fact, she couldn't even figure out which universe she was in anymore. She had been jumping from one universe to the next, trying to find the one with her arch nemisis and most beloved brother, Anakin Vader. Yet everywhere she went, there was no trace of him. Not even so much as a whisper. In fact, it seemed almost as if the Phoenix Dark Side had simply vanished. In fact, Leia found herself utterly alone, unable to find any of her contacts.

The sound of a baby crying got her attention, and within seconds, a second cry joined the first. Okay, so maybe she wasn't completely alone, Leia thought to herself as she rose and retreated to her cabin. When she had awoken several weeks ago, she found herself with two children. Twins it looked like. They both bore some semblence to Leia, yet she had no recollection of being pregnant or even giving birth in...how lond had it been since the quadruplets? A century?

As she endered her sparsely decorated cabin, her features softened as she went first to the boy, picking him up and cradling him in her left arm, before turning to the girl and cradleing her in her right. The girl had deep emerald eyes which were very distantly familiar but she couldn't think of who or when she had seen such vivid eyes. And the boy...his eyes were just like her own.

The twins cooed at her, recognizing her even if Leia herself didn't. Leia bounced them gently in her arms, talking softly to them.

"I still don't know what I'm supposed to call you two. Any ideas?" she asked, arching her eyebrow and looking almost expectantly at them for an answer. Of course there was no answer, at least not one Leia could understand, as they just babbled at her in baby talk.

She sighed softly and strolled out of the cabin, headed for the galley where she had some food for the twins. She took a seat at the small table with the children still in arm. Once settled, she turned her attention to the fridge which she used the Force to open the door and then levitated two bottles of milk to a pot of water on the stove, setting them in gently before flipping the heat on with the Force.

She returned her attention to the twins, wrinkling her nose at her son before rubbing her nose with her daughters. For several minutes, she simply sat there with them, smiling and seemingly happy. Shielded from the twins, were Leia's deeper inner thoughts and emotions.

Who was the father? Was he alive or had he died? Was he a good person? Was he a normal person like Han was? Or was he a Sith or a Jedi? What had happened to everyone...and everything? How much time was missing? Why couldn't she remember anything?

No, it wasn't that she couldn't remember anything, it was that there were things she couldn't place her finger on. Things that were like words on the tip of her tongue yet when she tried to speak them, they disappeared. And while it troubled her to know that at least nine months of her life was missing, she was strangely content. Perhaps it was the effect of the two children.

Leia had never thought she would ever have children again, and yet somehow, someone had given her these two precious children. But they also presented more concerns. Like, what should she tell them when they asked about their father? What if she never learned who their father was? They were obviously gifted with the Force, for they fairly shined with an inner light. Should she raise them to be Jedi? Sith? Or more neutral, more well rounded? And there was still the matter of naming them.

She shook her head softly and reached for the bottles of milk with the Force, turning off the stove as they bobbed towards her. Grabbing the bottles with her hands, she tested how warm the milk felt inside. Satisfied it was warm and neither cold nor hot, she up ended the bottles and began feeding the twins. They drank the milk eagerly and when they both had finished, Leia turned her attention to burping them as she made her way back to her cabin with them.

After they both had been burped, she laid them down and took her time changing their diapers. When they were both fresh and clean, Leia wrapped them in blankets and carried them back out of the cabin once more, asking them softly, "Who wants to go see hyperspace, huh? We're almost to Alderaan..." Hopefully, she finished mentally. The last few Alderaan's she had come across had been destroyed...nothing to call home.

She really hoped she could find someone who knew her and might help her...if not...well shit. Leia kissed her daughter and son's foreheads, more to comfort and reassure herself than either of them.

By the Force, please let someone guide me.

Leia sat with the twins, still looking at the viewport, glancing down at the chrono for her ETA to reversion every now and then. It wasn't until the chono showed she was perhaps seven minutes from reversion to real space that she rose and took the now sleeping twins back to her cabin where she carefully laid them back down to continue sleeping. She quickly returned to the cockpit, re-took her seat and belted in, when the reversion alarm went off to notify her it was time.

Slowly, she drew back on the lever and brought Alderaan III back into real space, only to show that this Alderaan was also a pile of rubble. Sighing softly, she brought her ship in for a closer pass. Sometimes, just by looking at the debris, she could tell how long it had been since her homeworld was destroyed. It didn't take her long at all to determin that the remains of this Alderaan were long since destroyed. Carefully navigating back to space, far enough away from the debris that she wouldn't have to worry about crashing, she turned next to her navi-computer and began to scroll through the solar systems in this galaxy.

She almost stopped at several planets...Endor, Bespin, Hoth, Yavin, Dantooine, Coruscant...however a trip back down memory lane would hardly do her any good. The only planet that might give her the information she quickly needed was Coruscant...yet it was far too populated and potentially dangerous to take her month old twins there. There was no way of knowing if the galaxy was run by the Empire, the Republic, the Yuuzhan Vong, or some other government. She needed to find another civilized planet, one that was populated and current but not so much so as to pose a risk/danger to her children. Where in the galaxy was she to go then?

Leia found herself taking a trip back down memory lane, despite her determination not to. Corellia was the home of her first husband, her first true love. Captain Han Solo. She could recall a few key events that had occured on Corellia, some of her escapades with her long deceased first husband. However, more importantly, Corellia, regardless of what the main governing body in the galaxy was, always seemed to have a knack at staying neutral but not really neutral.

It was close enough to the Core and laid alone one of the most imfamous smuggler runs that she would have to be stupid to not go there. Smiling to herself, she punched in the coordinates and aligned her ship to the correct trajectory. It wasn't long before Alderaan III jumped into lightspeed, making haste to Corellia...

...Several hours later...

The twins had awoken, been fed, changed and coddled a time or two before Alderaan III was ready to emerge back to real space just outside Corellia. In fact, the twins were about due to awaken, yet Leia had left them in her cabin to sleep a bit longer for they would soon find themselves bombarded by Corellia. There was much they would find themselves exposed to. New people, smells, sights, sounds, and even impressions in the Force. It was the latter that concerned her most. If only she could somehow shield their young infant minds from others...

Leia sighed softly to herself even as she flipped on a false ship identity clearance that the spaceport on Corellia would register as the Jaded Knight, instead of the Alderaan III. Her ships comm blared to life as the controller at the spaceport began giving her her docking information and appropriate flight pattern. With a click of a reply, she shut the comm off and brought Alderaan III down with practiced ease, neither of the twins stirring as she broke atmosphere. They did however, wake as she set the ship down at her assigned port in Coronet City, the capital city of Corellia.

Putting her ship into standby mode, she once more, returned to her now awake babies. "Hush my dears. We're going out for a little stroll. Need to learn what galaxy this is." Leia gently rubbed their noses before quickly changing out of her flightsuit that she had been wearing and donned instead, a scarlet jumper that covered her from neck to toes. Long sleeves covered her arms to her wrists, and the pants encased her legs, yet there was a tail of sorts, a half skirt, that flowed behind her as she moved. (Yes, Jean's outfit.) She slipped on black knee high leather boots before adding a baby back pack of sorts. She turned to the twins once more, spread her arms to her side and asked them, "What do you think?"

The twins looked at her strangely for several moments, before her daughter let out a squeal of delight which her son quickly echoed. Smiling, Leia lifted them both with the Force and gingerly placed them into the baby back pack on her back, allowing them to see what she saw. With the children nicely secure, Leia added one last thing to herself: her violet lightsaber. Clipped to her belt, she hoped she wouldn't need it, but knew all to well that she could never afford to go anywhere unarmed. Her brother, Anakin Vader, had taught her that lesson all too well.

Glancing over her right shoulder, she looked at her son and asked, "Are we ready to go?" A tiny hand found a lock of her hair and pulled. Wincing slightly in pain, Leia turned to look at her daughter as she gently pried her hair free of her hand. "I'll take that as a yes," she said with a laugh as she exited her cabin and made her way towards the ramp. She lowered it, exited her ship, locked it and set the security code, before descending to the ground and started to make her way out of the spaceport, looking for a cafe where she could grab some food, a little drink, and see what she could learn about this galaxy.

If she remembered Coronet as well as she thought she did, then she was a short fifteen minute walk from her favorite cafe.

:: Ok, ok, Corellia it was and damn how he was nervous. Nervous because this was Republic space, that will say Droid Lord found himself deep in the enemy zone. One might ask how in hell could something such as himself, wonder around Corellia without being spotted immediately. For the first, many strange space travelers stopped here so he could basically mix in, but his menacing appearance made many apprehensive and made some straight out aggressive and some just sounded alarm without asking questions. This was something Droid Lord wanted to avoid at all cost and so he used the Force to project into the human minds image of entirely different species and what you know, they saw him as large Ssi-ruuk lizard instead. Less intimidating, less daunting. ::

:: Droid had accomplished his mission to retrieve a Corellian diamond, a very special kind of a diamond, made out of human. Giving out a noise that sounded like purring and hoot, Droid took out from his pouch that sizable shiny stone and took a good look at it in the dim light of the alley he was in hiding. Sooo bright, so shinyy! These stones could be worth anywhere from one thousand to three thousand credits per Coruscant Standard Carat and they were gemstones valued by pirates. However this stone was not from the mines or Arkania, this stone was unique, one of its kin: it was made out of the ashes of Gen Vadarin, twin brother to Phinus Vadarin, the Supreme Chancellor of the galactic Republic. ::

:: The stone in Droids claws were as perfect and uncorrupted like the man had been, of whos ashes were the material used to make this stone. Gen. Peering through it Droid amused himself to try and see the ring of shipyards in the orbit, without success. Well the diamond was not suitable as binoculars, that much was certain. Then again, it was synthetic diamond made by artificial gravity generators. Dropping the gem back into his pouch, he came to notice pair of eyes watching him. Selonian! ::

:: Bloody rodents, always lurking about. Dropping the effort of projecting his image to peoples minds Droid used all of his Force powers in bouncing after the slippery rodent before it could escape. There were rumbling and booming in the alley when Droid darted after the small Selonian, pounding it with his long spiked tail every chance he haduntil one of the smacks hit the target and Selonian end up as a wet spot on the filthy ground in some back passage. Droid feasted on its crushed body, his enormous jaws having no trouble mincing the bones, spinal columns and skull along with the meat and sinews and tendons. ::

:: Burping loudly he suddenly felt something familiar in the Force, like a presence of someone he knew. How come? Curiosity took the best of him as he went for search of this familiar flare of a Force signature and he soon found himself peering to the busy street of the city, scanning through the crowds to pinpoint the person. Not having the most advanced sense of patience, Droid murmured curses under his breath that stunk of fresh blood and his jaws still dripped blood. ::

:: Then, he found it, the source of this feeling! Jumping up from sheer excitement he recognized Leia, mommy, the cookie lady! She had gone missing since she had left looking for her husband and father to her twins. Last time Droid had seen her she had been very very pregnant. And now, on her back was two healthy looking kids! Not wanting to bash out to the street, he called out to her in the Force, with such joy and excitement he could barely contain himself. Leia, oi mommy, here, look, its me, Droidy, the cookiemonster!! he bellowed in his mind, standing in the dark alley, unwilling to come out to the daylight. ::

:: The fumes from restaurants, garbage containers and darkness in the alley made it hard to see who or what was there waiting, but Droid thought, naively, that Leia would of course recognize her favorite cookie monster thousands miles away and so he sat there, waiting, tail whipping the air waiting eagerly. ::

Leia Jade

As Leia walked down the streets, she appeared to be at ease and enjoying the day with her twins. What none of the passerbyers could know, is that she was on edge, all her senses hightened as she was searching for any sign of danger. It took more effort than she would have cared to admit, even to herself, to not jump at the slightest brush of cloth against the Corellians she passed.

Just breathe Leia. Be calm, she thought to herself even as she took a deep calming breath. Nobody feels dangerous, nobody is taking notice. Relax.

She forced a smile to her lips and gradually tried to focus her energies elsewhere, like on the streets around her. Initially, she allowed herself to hear the soft chirping of birds, which in turn had her watching them dive and dance through the air in a game of air tag. She couldn't explain how or why, but watching the birds dance through the air like that was somehow vaguely familiar...almost like she had done something similar before, but she couldn't for the life of herself, remember how to do it or even when she had done it.

The next thing she noticed, was the aroma's of the resturants she passed along the way. Corellian cuisine had always appealed to her since Han's passing many years ago. It was second only to her native world, but that was almost a given. As she savored the smells of the resturants, she felt and heard her own stomach growl in hunger. Her pace pace quickened slightly as she moved towards the cafe. Food was sounding really good right about now...

She hesitated momentarily as she felt someone brush her mind, her presence, her aura. It was followed almost immediately by a sense of extreme joy and excitement that her skin prickled with the sensation and her defensive instinct kicked in. It too, was vaguely familiar, but almost as if from another life time. Regardless, she didn't trust the presence that had sensed her. The joy and eagerness she felt could very well mean someone had recognized her and was going to attack her. Or worse yet: try for her children.

She stopped walking now, her smile gone, her facial expression and body all rigid as her body switched to combat mode. Her hand hovered tensely over her lightsaber clipped to her belt, but blurred from the sight of all the normal folk so they didn't see it. She wasn't sure if whoever had sensed her could see it or not, but she suspected if he had sensed her, then he probably could. No matter...

Her cold chocolate brown eyes scanned the crowd first, trying to find whoever it was that seemed to be calling to her. As her eyes and her Force presence brushed the people around her on the street, she knew whoever had recognized her wasn't among them. She slowly began to broaden her search even as she slowly began to walk forward, suspicion now oozing off her as she looked over her shoulder periodically.

She soon found herself passing a particularily dark alley that reeked not of just garbage, but of blood...of death. A wash of cold rippled through her as she looked towards the alley, with her eyes and the Force. Just within the entrance, she could make out the figure of a vaguely large Ssi-ruuk. But her eyes saw, didn't match what the Force was telling her. There was more than what she was seeing.

Stopping, she debated what to do. She couldn't exactly walk into the alley, she felt like that was what this...person...wanted her to do. And Leia was never the sort to do what someone wanted just because they wanted her to do it. In fact, she was prone to doing the opposite of what they wanted. In fact, she had a wicked idea, one she knew she probably shouldn't do but that dark whisper in her mind beckoned for her to go ahead and play a little.

She closed her eyes and lowered her head a moment, facing the alley and the Force user just within. With drew her presence and aura within herself as she focused and concentrated on the Force. She raised her hands together, almost as if she were praying. She remained like that for several heartbeats before she opened her eyes, and raised her head enough to show brown eyes that seemed to burn with an inner fire. But she wasted no time for as soon as she looked up, she unleashed a Force Push at the individual, intending to send him flying backwards and into a dumpster. Accompanying the Force Push was the very stern and cold echoing voice of Leia, speaking to his mind:

This is your only warning, back off or die.
A sinister grin spread across her face, as she raised her head fully and turned to leave the ally entrance, seemingly oblivious the the slight distress her twins were in. As she began to walk, she said softly to the twins, "Shhh, it's okay. Momma's here to protect you. Nobody will ever hurt you two."

Droid Lord

:: Shining with self-content, Droid Lord sat and waited Leias reaction, being sure she would be jumping up and down and be coming running into his four arms and all would be like before. But no. His sharp eyes registered her fumbling her saber. Droid lifted one of his wrinkly eyebrows, if he now had any. Why would mommy dear suddenly become apprehensive? Oh bloody hell, he still had the projection on, she could not see the real him, only the Ssi lizard. ::

:: Droid was about to let it fall when Leia suddenly came towards the narrow opening of the alley, but did not enter. Droids tail was now whipping the air so it whacked the walls as he waited, but Leia took her time, she seemed to drawn on the Force. Yes, she must be thanking the Force to have found him here, of all the possible places. Yes, that it must be. ::

:: Next second, he found himself somersaulting backwards! World went up and down and around again and again until he hit every damn container and garbage can on the way until his journey end to the far wall in the furthest end of the dirty filthy alley. Shaking his head, Droid tried to come back up, but his body was one knot of tail, head and legs, and four arms twitching wildly about, Leias angry voice ringing in his mind. Finally managing to get up in space that was way too narrow to his liking, he realized mommy had attacked him. His lower lip shook a moment. Then, faster than eye could realize, he climbed up the wall and onto the roofs. ::

:: Confused and hurt, he jumped from one roof to another, tracking Leia down, keeping eye on her and letting her know he had not given up, he did not hide himself physically or in the Force. But then the buildings got higher and higher, he had to come down to the street level and so he landed less graciously outside of the pet store, pretending to be a statue. He was now ahead of Leia and waiting for her to come closer, he talked to her again. ::

Sweet Leia, I will not hurt you! I promise by all the bacon in the galaxy! Dont you recognize me? I stand here, next to the full sized toy Bantha, Wampa and Tauntaun.

Leia Jade

Leia continued down the street, still trying to half-heartedly calm and soothe the twins. Her whole heart wasn't in it because the person who had been overjoyed at finding her was still following her, though not on the street. No, she could feel him moving off to her left, roof hopping until he was slightly ahead of her. Her pace slowed as she felt him return to the ground ahead of her.

She could hear him in her head, almost as if he were pleading with her. She supposed it was a good sign that he recognized her but she still didn't trust him. As a matter of fact, her hand twitched, itching to take hold of her lightsaber and stike him down. But another part of her was fighting that reaction.

Taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly, Leia forced herself to continue forward, moving closer to the middle of the street so as to give herself plenty of room to look at this person who swore to not hurt her. In truth, he could hurt her all he wanted, it was her twins that were off limits. She stopped when she was even with the statues, disregarding the statues she knew, and instead focused on the "statue" that she knew wasn't.

He was huge, frighteningly so. His body was dark...perhaps black. Four tiny arms, two huge legs, and a very lethal looking tail lay curled behind him. Her brows knitted together as she frowned.

'Who are you? What are you?' she asked him as she forced herself to look up into that face...that face which held a mouth full of razor sharp, pointy, long teeth. An involuntary shudder rippled through her. Whatever he was, he was monsterous, a creature of nightmares. If he knew her, then it must have been a recent aquaintance. Though his reaction, his feelings and emotions towards her, weren't something people formed shortly after meeting. It was the reaction of having known someone for months, perhaps even years.

Leia paled. Was she missing not months to a year of her life but instead, several years? By the Force...what had happened? What could have made her forget years of her life? She was sure that if she had ever befriended this creature, she would never ever forget him. How could anyone forget someone like this?

Droid Lord

:: There were emotions in storm inside Leia, Droid could sense them; he could feel them as his mind brushed against hers. He so badly wanted to assure her, but why did she act so strangely? Worry begun to build inside Droid and he begun to get bad feeling about this all, for if Leia thought he would mean bad for her, she could try to hurt him worse she already had. It had been a warning, he knew that. She was dangerous and even more so with the kids to protect. Kids. Droid peered at them curiously and made a mistake of smiling people nearby begun to scream, scared at first but then getting quiet when they thought the smiling horrid thing was a statue. ::

:: Droid stood as still as he could, still that smile on his face, revealing his dental glory. He then let his lips cover them, hoping Leia did not mind or that she was not startled more she already seemed to be. Her questions hit him hard in the solar plexus and gasping air he stared at her in disbelief, not even bothering to cover the impact her doubt had on him. Landing to sit, his posture gave out the devastation he felt and not caring if people saw him move or not, he only concentrated on Leias eyes. Keeping their gaze locked he desperately searched for any kind of recognition from her. Nothing. ::

Butbut I am Droid Lord. Cooki.coo.., he started, with absolutely miserable voice, words not being able to form in his mind. He never spoke the way humans did, but used communication through the Force, directly into minds and Leias questions bounced around, confusing him.

I..am hybrid of Hssiss Dragon and Xenomorph, he then managed to inform. I belong to a group called Children of Hssiss. Rings any bells? he asked and slowly took out his pouch, taking out round flat object and activating it he nodded to the holo-images that begun to hover above its surface. There were images from parties and life in the CoH and he stopped it for a while in a picture where Leia were chasing him after he stole big peace of cookie dew. Next picture was Leia with Gnarrr in her lap, Gnarrr licking her face, her huge pregnant belly clearly visible in the image. Next image was taken in the tea party, with numerous members from CoH in it, Leia serving cookies and other delicious things in her that time home, in Antares. ::

:: Closing the holo pad he searched her face to see any flicker of memory. :: What happened to you? Why dont you remember us? We were your unofficial adopted children, yours and Razes.

Leia Jade

Leia could see and feel his disbelief and sorrow at her questions and her unfamiliarity with him. Based on his reaction, she had known him and been rather close with him at one point. Yet deep inside, she felt...nothing. She didn't know him, didn't remember him, didn't even feel so much as a twinge of recognition. Yet as cold and seemingly heartless she felt towards his pain, specifically his pain towards her...lack of recognition, she was not without compassion. She could remember clear as day the night Crimson introduced Leia to her youngest son, Jax, who didn't know she was his mother or that Crimson was not his father. It had pained her to no end and nearly had broken her heart when she told him who she was and he didn't believe her.

Neither Leia nor the twins flinched as the creature barred his teeth in what she supposed might have been his version of smiling. As those nearby saw him and screamed, fleeing in terror, the twins looked back, the girl with vivid green eyes and the boy with rich brown eyes, and cooed happily, almost as if they recognized the creature where their mother did not. They began to bounce with joy, faces shining just as brightly as their presences' in the Force.

Leia spared her children a glance, brow furrowed curiously. She could feel them the same way Droid could, yet their joy, happiness, and recognition puzzled her. Their response made her pause for they were her children and if they recognized someone, it had to have been while she was pregnant. Odd.

Leia's attention returned to the creature as he identified himself as one Droid Lord, a hybrid of a Hssiss Dragon and a Xenomorph, whatever those were. He went on to inform her of the group of people he belonged to, asking if it rang any bells. She was quite, allowing the words to echo within her mind, and yet, there was no ring of familiarity, not from any of it. It all meant nothing to her. She had started to shake her head and opened her mouth to say as much when he pulled out a projector that began to show images. The images showed her a life she never knew and couldn't remember. She studied them carefully, trying to remember but finding that nothing stirred within her mind.

'I'm so sorry,' Leia's voice whispered through his mind as the photos disappeared and it shut off. 'I don't remember any of that. I don't even know who this Raze you speak of is. If I knew what had happened to me, I would probably tell you but as I don't know...' She shook her head once more, and turned to walk away. As her back faced Droid Lord, she found herself suddenly light headed and dizzy. She swayed on her feet even as she blinked her eyes shut to try and steady herself. But as her eyes shut, she found herself remembering...

There was a pool party with a BBW going on, and Droid was proudly walking around, showing off his new, "toy" (see firetruck). He was most proud and joyous that he flashed everyone until someone either requested or insisted he wear a loincloth of some sorts. That did not eliminate the show and tell however, simply made it more amusing and entertaining.

She was sitting at a table with a mountain of food before her. Meats, breads, cheeses, fruits and more were piled on plates before her and she ate ravenously, almost as if she hadn't eaten in weeks. Droid Lord was there, as was a smaller version of him, Gnarrr? The pair were absolutely astonished and amazed at how much food Leia had eaten and that she seemed to not be slowing down, but eating more and faster. One had even remarked to the effect that they wondered where all the food was going. Yet they brought her more food and more drink, even as her plates emptied. It was some sort of celebation party...a victory...

Then the next few pictures clicked in her mind. SHe was hosting a small relaxing get together, feeding her children. Not the children in her belly, but the Children of Hssiss, her adopted children. Though how exactly she came to be their...mother of honor was it? She had no clue. They ate happily, comsuming any and all food that was offered. The table they had gathered around was piled high with food, and the children, as in those less than ten standard galatic years, were hiding underneath, stealing food as stealthily as they could, the Droidlings perhaps being the most vocal and roudy of them all.

Leia blinked open her eyes which had begun to tear as her memories involving Droid Lord himself were restored. She turned back around, a smile on her lips, as she fairly bounded towards the still sitting Droid Lord, lept into the air, and hugged him tightly as she landed against him. "Droidy!"

Droid Lord

:: Something like a purr rose up from Droid Lords throat when the twins recognized him. He let his mind touched theirs carefully, ever so carefully, brushing against theirs, greeting, letting them to study him and his Force signature they so vividly remembered. What lovely creatures, so tiny, so strong in the Force! Had one been observant, one could see something glimmering in the big beasts small eyes, something that resembled tears. ::

:: But their mother remembered nothing, not even after the imagesand not even the name of her husband. Crushed, Droids posture sank, the light in his bright eyes faded and the disappointment took his heart and the pain returned. What could he do to make her remember? As she started walking away, Droids heart sank and even his cover as Ssi-ruuk vanished, revealing himself to the world now and he did not care. His large heard slowly sank, his jaw touching his chest and all four of his arms hang useless at his side. ::

:: Then, the steps of Leia stopped. Back in his mind he did not wonder before she had stood still some while. Lifting his head a little, to give her one last look, it happened: her mood in the Force changed to joy, her entire signature sparkled with life and sunshine and before he knew it, she assaulted him with a hug, so fast he could not even realize it nor even prepare for it. Same moment as she flew at him and into his arms, he was so dumbfounded he knew not what to say or do but spread his arms and take hold of her. The impact caught him off guard and he fell against the wall, laughing with his version of arf arf arf. ::

:: The relief was enormous, like hurricane of bacon and meat! Carefully he kept Leia in his arms, so that the twins in her back would not be squashed or hurt by his claws. Standing up with the help of his tail he gave Leia a hug of his own, watchful not to hurt her. He even did a full circle or two in the middle of the street, arf-arfing away loudly. ::

I thought this was a nightmare! Leia mommah, where have you been?? Wait until others will hear about this!! This calls for a celebration! Bacon and Absinth all around! he yelled, still spinning around and finally coming to a halt, world going around in his head.
This is so great! I have so many questions and so do the others. You must have some too. Where are you going? You have a place to stay? he went on, babbling and fussing, tail whipping the air eagerly, causing smaller traffic chaos behind him. ::

Leia Jade

Leia laughed along with Droid as did her twins. In her sudden remberance of Droid, she had momentarily forgotten the twins on her back, and was grateful that Droid Lord had been as gentle as he was. Leia continued to smile up at him, even as she found her feet upon the ground once more and him bombarding her with questions.

In truth, she still did not where she had been. Nor did she know who the 'others' were that Droid Lord spoke of, unless he was perhaps referring to the other Children of Hssiss, none of whom, she could remember either. A touch of unease tried to grip her, but she did her best to not let it take root, and kept smiling. As for the rest of his questions...

"I'm not really sure. I've spent the past two weeks looking for some sort of...home I guess. Some place where someone can help me remember what I've lost which I suppose must be you," she said with a wink and a smile. "As for a place to stay...just my ship. It's as much home as any where else at this point. Besides, I don't know of any place as safe as it."

Leia spared a glance to the twins, emotion swelling in her heart. Perhaps this was the place she was meant to be. From the memories of Droid Lord she had regained, she felt like this was as safe a place as any to raise her children. She couldn't remember who all the Children of Hssiss were, but they had to be like Droid at least in some capacity.

As her daughter hiccuped softly, Leia turned her attention back to Droid Lord. "Hey, I didn't happen to have picked out any names for these two, had I?"

Droid Lord

:: Names, no. You never mentioned anything of the names, perhaps you talked about it with their father, Lord Raze? Anyway, you were looking for a home? You have one in Antares, the house has been kept intact and droids are keeping it clean for your return, we always hoped you would return, he confessed. And now you have.

:: There was no place to mistake for the tone of his voice in the minds: it was soft, even caring. He was certain her memory would return if she saw her home again and the others. Venom could take a look into her head if she allowed him to, to establish some memory refreshments into the neural compartments of it. Best would be if she could remember on her own, the natural way. ::

What comes to safety, here in the Core worlds its not safe for you or me. But its a totally different story in our Empire, ther you get all the protection you can dream of, he told her, and reluctantly added: Starweird is the only menace we have trouble fighting away if they arrive again. But this time we know how to do it. Somesome were not lucky when they attacked the first time. We lost many Masters and sithlings. Many. Droidlings too.

:: He was not sure if Leia knew what Starweird was, and the news might startle her. They are like wraiths, not corporeal unless they attack. They are drawn to Force sensitiveness and you being alone with the twins, you are a triple target and alone to fight them off. You would stand a chance. Not alone. Starweirds have been on the move lately and nobody is safe from them, not any longer. Not, if one is Force sensitive. I would therefore strongly suggest you would come home, he almost pleaded her, thinking the horror of her meting up with a task force of those green devils. Especially up in the space. :

Leia still had no idea who this Lord Raze was that Droidy kept mentioning. Had he been in one of the photos he had shown her and she not recognized him? She glanced to her daughter with those vivid green orbs. There was no history of green eyes in her family. Her twin had their father's eyes where Leia had her mother's. The green had to be from her still unnamed daughter's father.

She looked at Droid as he mentioned her already having a home somewhere in this Antares place. She frowned slightly, not remembering it at all. It had to be the pictures of all those unfamiliar faces where Leia herself was looking very pregnant and about to burst with all the cookies and treats. It would make do...after she personally checked the place out of course. And baby proofed it as best she could.

"I've never had any issues in the Core Worlds unless you go back to the Alliance against the Empire, but that was a very long time ago. Nobody here has seemed to recognize me. But Starweirds..."

It was something she had never heard mention of before and shook her head, even as Droid Lord explained what they were to her. Leia was no master, not that she knew of anyway, but fighting something that wasn't solid or touchable until it was perhaps too late for her did not sound like something she wanted to face. Especially not with the twins who were like great beacons of light in the Force, brighter than her own which was unknowingly greatly supressed.

"If these Starweirds are as dangerous as you say, then I most certainly do not want to encounter one by myself. I would happily accompany you back to...Antares was it?"

Droid Lord

:: Droid almost jolted of joy! Not that he had made her worried, but because now he could take her back to home and into some kind of safety. He let it slide that Starweirds usually never came alone, they moved in armies of thousands upon thousands. Thats the only experience he have had until now. ::

Truth is, no Force sensitive should walk alone and we should all times suppress our Force signature as much we can. I rumble around but I have great defence naturally in me, something no other in the galaxy have: Quantum Crystalline coating in my every scale. Hard for them to bite or scratch through, he grinned a bit too ironically. But yes in Antares, mom, there is your house as you left it and all of your servants and garden and vehicles. And your family.

:: Droid kept looking at her curiously, not understanding why she had not recognized anyone, not even Raze. Frowning, he decided best course of action would be taking her home. But wait. Everyone were preparing to take a journey to the spring party in Dominions space. ::

You know, at this moment everyone is leaving to Dominion Empire, for the Spring Party. As far as I understand, this Premiere of Dominion is your close friend too, and our Akasha lives there as well, wit her small children. She as well is one of your close friends. The entire family will be meeting there. What you wish to do? To check out Antares first or meet head-on in the party? There will be others with babies too and families with small kids, all of your family is there, except Lord Raze as far as we know. Not that he is not welcome; we just dont know where he is at the moment. My Vulture is parked not far from here, I could lead the way. What you wish to do first?

Leia blinked as Droid recommended using the Force to suppress zForce signiatures, and nearly gave into the reflex to smack her forehead. It hadn't occurred to her in her search for a safe galaxy to suppress herself from other Force Sensitives, but on one hand...she had been looking for any who might have recognized her. The twins on the otherhand...they were years and years away from learning such a trick, but it would be moved to the top of her own personal Force training list for them. But in the meantime, she'd have to practice and teach herself how to dampen their presences in addition to her own. That or she'd have to pick up some Ysalamari somewhere and keep them close by her children...

Leia frowned at the last thought. Ysalamari were strange creatures to be around, and Leia herself would be of little use if she were to find herself within their anti-Force bubble. None of her lightsabers would work as they required her Force signature to power on - not like they were of much use now, they seemed resistant to her command, almost as if they recognized another Leia, the Leia she had next to no memory of save the parts with Droid Lord. Perhaps she should consider constructing a new pair of lightsabers, ones that were attuned to who she was and would grow as she regained her memories... But she had none of the parts, and would need to borrow someone else's lightsaber until she was able to sucessfully construct them.

She had slipped so deeply into her own personal thoughts about safety and training, she had missed some of what Droidy had said, snapping back to only as he mentioned a party. A party that would have people she supposedly was close to, people who knew her, but did she know or remember them? How awkward would that be, to arrive at a party to meet people she didn't remember but would remember her an would perhaps greet her as Droidy did?

Oh it would most certainly be awkward. And perhaps even disheartening. Thinking back to how Droidy had reacted when she didn't recognize him nearly broker her heart now as tears threatened to fall suddenly. She swallowed them back, painfully, even as he mentioned her options: go straight to the party, or go to her...home...on Antares first? She almost said she wanted to go to Antares first, to drop things off and check the place out first, but knowing herself, she would spent a good many hours securing the place, investigating it, before she would be content to go to a party to face people she might not know or remember.

But Leia was never one to take the easy way. She had always taken the hard way. Perhaps part of that was the inluence of her father, Bail Organa of Alderaan. Perhaps part of that was who her real mother and father were, Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala. Perhaps that was simply part of being a princess.

"I would like to go to this...spring party." Leia's stomach rumbled with hunger. "But before we go, I do need to eat something other than the rations I have been limited to these past few weeks. If I may have but an hour before we depart...?"

Droid Lord

:: Eat? Droid knew all about food and being hungry so he nodded eagerly, even if in this very moment he had carcasses of several Selonians. He had done his quest: he had obtained the gem his Centurion had requested and he was ready to go to the party to give it to her. And now he could bring Mommah with him! What a party it would be! His mind brushing gently hers before she closed her signature in the Force Droid could detect uneasiness and worry in her. Giving her kind and assuring smile Droid gestured to the street behind them, taking on him the appearance of the Ssi-ruuk, to calm people down. The illusion worked always and this time it was very important to keep people believing he was Ssi and not the hybrid he really was. ::

Spring party is it! I know a perfect place to eat and refill your food supplies, the place had the most exquisite bacon of the galaxy: Gamorrean bacon! he mentioned and kept on talking about food and bacon until they came outside the mentioned small restaurant, with its small deep-space shop next to its side. It really was called that: deep-space. Reasons could have been many but Droid always thought it was named that because the deep space pilots came here for their last supper and to fill in their personal stashes with all kinds of delicious stuff from entire galaxy. ::

:: It might have looked to an outsider that he was happily chatting away, but his eyes, senses and sonar sensor were bombing the environment, street, rooftops and air above them with such intensity it was almost set on fire. Nobody would sneak on them and harm Leia or the twins. Not as long as he lived and breathed. When they would be out of the shop and far enough from the city, he would let his normal appearance come back and then he would suppress his signature, but for now, he needed his full senses to protect his treasured companions. ::

Leia's presense in the Force had not vanished completely as it would have once upon a time, and in fact, neither had the twins disappeared. The trio were still significantly detectacble, just at a much closer range. It might appear to Droid, that Leia seemed to have lost the knowledge and full extent of many of her Force abailities...and he would be correct.

She watched as his appearance changed back to what she had originally seen him as, but saw a slight shimmer which indicated that it was a mere illusion for those around him so they would not panic. Only Leia saw the shimmer because she knew who he really was, even if she couldn't peer past the desguise. Leia smiled at Droid Lord, grateful to have met him once more, and she couldn't help but laugh as he went on about Gamorrean bacon. Clearly, other sentient races were on the dietary menu for Droid Lord, though she could hardly fault him.

Entering the small establishment, Leia spent a few minutes gazing over the menu of rather unusual cuisine. She however, placed her order for immediate consumption, another order to stock her galley aboard her ship, and for an order of Gamorrean bacon just for Droid Lord, paying for and thanking the greasy fat man behind the counter who went about preparing her food.

It wasn't long before her order was completed and Leia handed Droid his bacon before she seated herself to eat her own meal. It didn't take her long to finish her meal, and they were soon out the door, walking back the way they had come, Droid following her all the way to her ship to see her safely aboard, departing to his own ship after they exchanged comm frequencies so jump coordinates could be relayed to Leia.

Knowing it would take Droid a few minutes to return to his vessel, Leia took the few minutes to get the twins situation for the jump to lightspeed once they broke atmosphere. As they were both still awake, they accompanied her to the cockpit and watched Leia do her pre-flight checks intently, cooing in excitment when Leia lifted from the planets surface and angled for the sky and space beyond. It was perhaps a few minutes more before her ship's comm went off and Droid had sent her the coordinates to wherever this party was being hosted. She waited until he had gone to lightspeed, and then entered a few moments after. Hopefully whoever was at the other end of the jump, wouldn't try to shoot her down.

(Continues in the Spring Party)
