Iorweth
Biography

Iorweth isn't one to talk about it himself a lot, therefore not much has been revealed about his past before he joined up with the Scoia'tael - non-human units of freedom fighters, outlawed by humans and their laws.
He is somewhat about three centuries old – and thus rather youngfor an elf. (this is his age in The Witcher verse – it will be adjusted to fit other verses if necessary)

What is known is that he has long been fighting an unwinnable war, one that he was born into:

His waning people the Elves versus Humans, the most dominant species around when it comes to numbers.

In this war, Iorweth has carved out a place of some prestige for himself, climbing through the ranks by having an incredible knack for strategy and battle eventually commanding several Scoia'tael units.

Sooner or later, humans will kill all the Aen Seidhe. All dwarves and gnomes.
Then they'll start murdering one another.
Your kind knows no other way. It's in your genes.
You keep killing each other until only one remains. The strongest among you.
A thousand years from now, a dim-witted human barbarian will climb to the top of a pile of bones, sit down and proclaim: "I win".

Those Scoia´teal Units have not always been outlaws though.
They were founded during a war humans against humans in the course of which the elves were recruited by one side in order to aid them - in exchange the Aen Seidhe were promised a piece of land where they should be allowed and able to re-found their own elven kingdom.
Iorweth commanded one of the most renowned and fierce units of these Scioa´teal, they engaged in guerrilla warfare and did significant damage behind enemy lines.

In the course of this said war the Scoia´tael were betrayed and butchered by their human allies, those able to escape marked as bandits and made outcasts.
This experience turned Iorweth into a fierce fighter against those who suppress and mistreat his people the Aen Seidhe and also others of the Elder Races (Gnomes, Drawves, Dryads...).

Personality

Iorweth is known to be supremely intelligent, cunning even. Among his own people he is highly esteemed for his outstanding gift for strategy – earning him the byname “The Woodland Fox”. And even his enemies have to acknowledge his wiliness making im an utterly elusive and unpredictable opponent.

Having been the subject of hardship, abuse and suffering, physically and mentally throughout his life has left him pretty jaded and ruthelss himself.
However, despite his infamous reputation he does not enjoy bloodshed and murder – for him it is always a matter of „kill or be killed“.
Above all other things Iorweth would consider himself a realist. He is known to keep his pragmatism even in the most dire situations.
To achieve his goals he will go to considerable lenghts and even accept alliances and compromises with those he usually despises.

Despite his brash behavior he indeed is able and willing to listen to the ideas of others before making a decision – and once he makes up his mind will always chose an option that is the best for his people regardless of his own mind on the matter.

Having been on the bad end of betrayal numerous times in his life left him deeply wary and his trust is terribly hard to earn.
Once it is gained though he is intensely loyal.

During the course of his long life warrior and outcast he again and again was forced to deal with a lot of loss thus he tends to keep others at arm´s lenght emotional-wise. A habit not done purposefully but a result of his intuitive sense of self-perservation.
However, given enough time even his shell can be cracked and he might give in to a more emotionally driven connection, friendship even.

He's highly opinionated, and not the slightest shy about it.

"So we're benefitting from the massacre?"
"Not the way I'd put it... but yes."

Iorweth is unnervingly blunt about basically everything.
He rarely ever sees fit to mince his words, and is self-aware enough to accept when others don't bother mincing theirs with him.

Yet he's not completely humorless though.
In fact, he harbors a deeply dry and dark kind of humor and displays the habit of being scathingly sarcastic.
He has a tendency to poke fun at things that he thinks are ridiculous.
Skills and Abilities

(disclaimer: the following ideas are partly based on Witcher Verse lore (which tells little enough about elves and their abilities and Iorweth in particular – so much is made up, based on my own ideas and a blend of elven traits from other verses… - don´t judge me… - don´t like it, well, have a good life then…)

In terms of physical abilities Iorweth is equipped with what his elven legacy has to offer, foremost, compared with humans and other races, a prolonged life-span while aging very slowly in terms of appearance.
Also generally increased strength, speed and stamina and enhanced healing are part of his innate „elven skill-set“.
All these inherent abilities combined and added constant, century long training make him an above exceptional warrior, even for elven standards.

His prowess with a bow is legendary enough as is, but he also happens to be an excellent swordsman and to be feared close combat fighter with or without any weapons at all.
Generally he is right handed but without problems switches hands and skillfully also swings two blades at once.
As for his skills with the bow, originally used to right-hand shooting he had to adapt and learn to switch to left-hand usage after loosing his right eye – which by now doesn´t make any difference to him any more.

Besides his unchallenged expertise on the battlefield his knack for strategy and leadership skills are also worth a mention.
He is highly intelligent up to the degree that often enough neither friend nor foe are able to decide if his plans should be considered genius or madness. - To him these lines that are blurred anyway and when confronted with worth not more than a sarcastic grin and sneering remark before carrying on, just to prove his point shortly afterwards more often than not.

Additionally to his qualities as a warrior and strategist he also has a vast amount of survival skills up his sleeve.
Tracking, hunting, the wide knowledge of flora and fauna and how to utilize them for food, medicine and crafting are his daily life and ensured his survival on the run.

Ooc: before we start

This is Iorweth the Aen Seidhe (elf) from the books and computer RPG The Witcher
– However to be more flexible with the RP universe I can put him in I kept the description and biography as general as possible.
- And as there is not much information about his past given in the books nore in the games I will add things if necessary in the individual SL and in the way I imagined them to fit best.

If you want a RP entirely in the Witcher-Universe according to canon, great… but then I assume you know the setting anyway and no further explanation is needed.
For all others – I am totally ok with putting Iorweth into all kind of different Fantasy verses:
High Fantasy up to Urban Fantasy set in contemporary times - if necessary the bio can and will be adjusted by me

Tolkien
I would be especially happy about Tolkien-Verse-Crossovers

**Important** You will note the line above starting with "param" and ending in "opaque" has been added in. When you switch players with one of your own, make sure to add that line to your music player code. While the code is not needed in this layout, it's best to get in the habit of adding it in. Firefox does not always properly hide a 'hidden' object without a code like the above.

Daughter of King Aragorn and Lady Arwen
Sweet and wholesome as Apple Pie. *laughs*

multi-para & novella writer
looking for active and friendly Writers!
this page was established June 11th 2020

Good Morning--Good Afternoon--Good Evening my Friend.
Andúnië Elessar is my Name, but you can call me An.
It`s much more easier if you ask me.
I want to thank you,
for accepting me,
and for being my Friend.
It is a pleasure for me meeting you.
How are you on that wonderful sunny Day?

Since I am not a Friend of long Intros,
I will do my best,
to keep it short.

My whole Life I lived in Lothlórien,
with my beloved great Grand Parents
Lady Galdriel and Lord Celeborn.
I had to do that,
because I am special,
I have some Fire in me,
which need to be handled.
I needed to learn to handle that.
I got teached a lot about Nature, Creatures, Languages and of course different Weapons.
There is a beautiful white Warg, I can call mine, which became a good Friend and Companion,
but about that, you will read in my Starter.
Since War once more is on the Way, to destroy our beautiful Middle Earth,
my great Grand Parents decided to send me back Home, back to Gondor to help and well..
I wont to say to much.

If you are interested in talking about a Sl,
I would love hearing back from you.

I wish you a beautiful Day.

The Decision
Memories of the past
The council was in uproar over the vulgarity that was spilled by the one named Iorweth though in truth he had a point and as soon as he left the elves bickered amongst themselves and even Elrond's position he could not quiet down the council that was until Elissa rose her voice. She was not one known for losing her temper but this was the last straw. The council who was had been pointing fingers about, yelling at one another like a bunch of savages over something that was superficial but in the hierarchy of their kin they acted no different than those they wished to set themselves apart from.

"ENOUGH!" Elrond was surprised by fierce nature that Elissa possessed to have the whole council stop bickering and stare at her. "How dare you!" She roared as she felt her body tremble with fury, "You dare to speak ill of our kin, of Iorweth and his. The audacity of which you speak is disgusting. You act as if our blood is superior to those around but all I see are shades, nothing compared to our once great kin of long days past. You sit and you argue over who he is, low born an inferior breed of our kin, you act as vicious as the humans do among their own." One lord rose and and threw venom back at her which proved her point and in some respect a few of the council members fell quiet as they felt like children, being scolded by a young maiden who has not lived as long as they had but she had wisdom beyond her years. Lord Elrond finally took hold of the council and calmed the once raging battle between a young woman and a lord that slowly came down to a simmer and with a few words from Elrond the room felt at ease. Elissa left the council chamber and soon as the doors closed behind her, the council raged about Elissa being allowed to talk down to them, scolding them like children. Elrond was left to pick up the pieces of the mess that laid before him though this was nothing new considering this was truly a time of peace and not many wanted to believe an ancient evil was coming to stir the peaceful tide into a storm.

The maiden walked the halls trying to wrap her head around the prophecy and then the dream she had the night before came to the forefront of her mind. Was it really a dream or was it a vision of what was to come. A dark path was laying itself before her and this other, Iorweth. If the prophecy was true then, Elissa was destined to walk this dark path with Iorweth and it would happen nor matter what road Iorweth took. It would come full circle and they would meet on the same path. It was decided then. A decision she made as she walked past her quarters and towards Iorweth's and without really thinking she entered, "Iorweth," her tone soothing and at ease but as soon as her moonlit orbs fell on the shade that was the form of her elven kin, something stopped her in her tracks. There was an air about him, no his aura seemed vaguely familiar and she couldn't understand why it was. Thoughts, memories flooded through her very being, it was as if she had met him before. Before the council, before his arrival but she couldn't quite place him. She had known only a few of her own kin in her lifetime. Not many came near her due to what most thought of her and her own lineage. Her mother an elf and her father she did not speak much of her father, a painful memory she wished to forget.

She composed herself once more, ridding herself of her thoughts of the past and came back to the reality of the situation, "You did not deserve the venom from those who pride themselves superior through blood but we are all kin. I am not here to apologize on their behalf but I am here on another matter. This prophecy, if it is true then I have made the decision to proceed and follow the path however the road in which I will take will be with you." She inhaled a deep breath before laying down her plan, "That is why when you take your leave to Caed-Rhun I am going as well." She turned on her heel and made her way towards the door, "Before you run your mouth about me going is not the best idea" A crooked grin painted across her lips as she tilted back her head, "Honestly, to speak plainly, I want to leave these walls of safety and see the world or... " Seeing the world would definitely be hard considering she was blind but it would not stop her from trying, "We leave at dawn." She was determined and left only to contemplate what had to be done to ready herself for a journey that would be filled with obstacles ready to stop her dead in her tracks.

She made her way to her favorite spot in Rivendell, a small nook off of the gardens next to the library where she would spend most of her childhood, hidden and safe. She was tired of being safe all the time, what she truly craved, desired was adventure. To let loose, to live and not live in four walls and a roof overhead. She sat on one of the ornate benches, her silver globes lifted to dark sky, not really being able to see it she could imagine the stars, the bursts of light glittering like gems. Alone she sat, only to begin humming to herself a tune she couldn't quite place but it soothed her only to lull her to old memories that seemed to come in pieces. A young boy, his name always escaping her mind and in some way it irritated her. She couldn't see his face or his aura but their was something familiar of this shadow of her past.

The Prophecy
The Stag and the Fox
"What are you doing in here? I thought you said you wanted to meet in the courtyard?" The young elven girl's silver lit orbs panned over to the entrance and smiled, "Sorry I got caught up in these books." The elven boy quirked his brow, "I don't understand I thought you were blind." The girl giggled at such an observation, "I am blind but that doesn't mean I can't read." The boy seemed to confused, "Wha-- you are contradicting yourself." The blind girl shook her head and decided this wasn't the time to get into this particular debate with her friend and closed the leather bound book and placed it back in its shelf. "Let's go," she said as she made it to the entrance but he was clearly blocking the way out, "Why did you want to meet in the courtyard?" The elven girl's lips curved into a smile, "I thought we could talk." "Talk about what exactly?" He was in her way, "Things now let out." The young elven boy leaned into the door frame, "Why should I?" The elven girl snowy orbs narrowed, "Move or you will regret it," she said while laughing, knowing full well he was jesting and being a pain and decided to make him move with a simple peck on the cheek which made him move quickly in disgust wiping his cheek with his sleeve.

The dream faded as light peaked through the window, warming the young maiden's face. Waking she soon found herself in the usual routine of her day to day life in Rivendell. Dressed in silks and satin, her dark locks flowing down her back as she made haste to apothecary where she was an apprentice to Maeron, an elf whose life was tending to the infirmed, creating new recipes, new concoctions for ailments. Maeron was wise and quite handsome for his age, though unlike many races, the elves were the ones who aged well. Elissa quickly came into the apothecary and heard his gentle yet firm tone, "Late again, are we?" Elissa sat down at her desk beside him quickly ready to get to work, "Sorry Maeron." A soft chuckle rolled from his lips, "Another dream perhaps?" Elissa cleared her throat and grabbed the quill and ink, "What am I writing today?" Maeron turned to gaze upon Elissa and smiled, "No writing, today we are going out to pick our fill of some medicinal herbs for a new recipe I wish to experiment on." Elissa nodded and got up quickly and grabbed the basket by her desk, color rose to her face as she at last got to leave the premise of Rivendell just for a brief time.

Maeron and Elissa were about to head out from the long stone bridge before Elissa heard her name being called. Maeron turned around and sighed with an air of annoyance only to see Lord Elrond and bowed before him, "Lord Elrond, Elissa and I are just going out to pick herbs." Lord Elrond smiled and nodded his head, "I understand but I need to speak with Elissa." Maeron nodded and turned to Elissa for a moment, "Better go and see what is needed of you but when you are done come and find me." Maeron took the herb basket from her hands and headed out while Elissa followed Lord Elrond, matching his steps as they strolled through Rivendell and revelled in the silence before Elissa was eager to know what he wished to speak to her about, "My Lord Elrond, what is it you wish to speak to me about?" Elrond was quiet for a few more moments before speaking to her, "There is to be a council, a meeting in which many of our kin will be attending." Silver orbs widened, perplexed by the news of a council, "Why? We are living in an age of peace." Elrond sighed and his orbs wandered the vast lands of Rivendell, almost as if he were afraid to say too much now, "There is a coming darkness One that involves you and another. That is all I can say, Elissa." Elissa stopped in her tracks and Elrond turned to face her, "You are to come to council, it is imperative that you do but for now I ask you not to speak of this to anyone." Elissa nodded and Elrond left her to do what she had planned that day with Maeron. That whole day of picking herbs she was not herself, she was perplexed by this darkness and how it involved her and this stranger that was going to arrive. Maeron wanted to know what plagued her thoughts but did not delve into them for he was sure it was something that Lord Elrond spoke to her about.

The stranger did arrive and Elrond came to Elissa that night, "He is weary from his travels. The council will meet with you and him tomorrow. Get some rest tonight, Elissa, for tomorrow shall be quite the long affair with the council." Elissa could not sleep, she felt it hard to lull herself asleep with so much anxiety that filled the air however the elven maiden allowed herself some time for rest as she finally fell asleep only to find herself in a dream that soon became a nightmare or was it a vision. She could never tell, her visions were always enwrapped in dreams. It was a forest draped in sunlight, a staunch white stag wrapped in golden light bounding great leaps with a red fox. The delighted pair were then stopped in their tracks as the sunlit forest stopped and nothing but a darkened up ahead of them both. A low growl came from the darkness and then fire burst forth and before much else was seen in this nightmare Elissa woke to find beads of sweat beading across her brow. Morning light had cascaded through her window and today was the day that the council wanted to see her and the stranger.

She readied herself before entering the pavilion that the council sat, Elrond greeted her before she could enter and there was the stranger. Her snowy orbs filtered the new aura in the chamber, the stranger, elven kin. Elrond cleared his throat as he started the meeting, "We are here today, to speak of the coming darkness Once more we are to plunge into another great evil however there is hope. A prophecy that speaks of two who shall breach the darkness and bring it to an end." His orbs narrowed at the two prophesied heroes, "Iorweth, Elissa. You two have been written in this prophecy." Elissa turned to the elf beside her and then back Elrond, "What prophecy?"

" *Mayhaps There Is,
POISON IN MY TEA
Ferra's eyes were graced by the dullness of the rock-belly of the caves. The dizziness was finally leaving her and she wanted nothing more than to plan an escape. But even then, where would I go? She sighed. She didn't know where the war had taken her. She glanced at the back of the healer as she mixed some herbs on a wood flat. She glanced around, searching for anything she could use. Though as she tried to lift her head, she realized that her wits were still ablaze and heavy. Even if she had a plan, escaping would be executed clumsily and probably grant her an early trip to the grave. So she lied there still and pouted to herself. Before long, she began to trail off softly once more

She dreamt of dragons battling over a thunder-stricken sea. She rode on a swan-ship with eighty oars and was barking at her crew to tread fast beneath the dueling beasts above. They had a shore to port before the storms stirred the sea. Though as the dragons roared and crashed together above them, the wind swept furiously down at them and forced the ship to tip. Unto the water she and her crew went and the thunder bellowed above. Tumbled waves rushed down and Ferra dove beneath the surface. It was pitch, but there were flashes of horror as lightning ripped the sky above. Ferra saw her men, all sinking down slowly unto the mouth of a great beast

She woke fast with a gasp, but realized that she was still in the damned cave. Gods. She inhaled What the damn have they put in that tea? Though, she saw the elven commander standing near her bed again and she rolled her eyes with a sigh.

"Aye, I can walk" She answered his question. "Though don't expect me to walk fast, I am still a bit drowsy." She slowly sat up and tossed her legs off the side of her rest and glanced at him, holding her head, pained. "though, if I fall - you might have to carry me. " She gave Iorweth a sarcastic wink, and slowly rose. "Where are we going? I'd hoped if I were to be executed, it would be in Merreen in front of the slavers. I'd rather die a Martyr for the people I fight for - than as someone I'm fabled to be

" We are not so different. But what we fight for can
SPARE OUR FURY
Ferra, now realized that she was not going anywhere any time soon. She flushed red with a sense of frustration as Iorweth spoke about his problems and his worlds' problems and she wanted to punch him across his pretty face. Though as the other entered, the one deemed friendlier, Ferra attempted to sit up and did so, slowly. She'd do anything for a nice brew of tea. Gently, she took it from Sinora gently and blew the steam away. She winced though, as the exertion stretched at her wounds. Gods be good, I've launched myself into a tangled web. She knew. Her eyes wandered her surroundings and she found little comfort at how discreet this place was. There was hardly an escape path, and she would either have to fight her way out - or remain their guest.

"I'm sorry to say" She began before she took a sip. "That you're in for a disappointment." She took another sip and then cleared her throat as she glanced grimly towards Iorweth. "But you'll not be killing me. You've nothing to gain from it, unless you just have an itch for slaughter. I'm no one to be threatened by." Ferra drank the rest and handed the cup back to Sinora. "At least I"ll be well fed by the time I get back to Braavos." She groaned and lied back down and closed her eyes. But there was a sense of restlessness to her and her eyes opened once more. She sat up again and began barking at them.

"While you're keeping me captive, I have men out there dying. Slaves, are dying - children. You've taken a captain from her ship, and now I am not there to lead my people." She protested. "Whatever hardships you and your people are going through, I am sorry for you. I wish that there was a way I could aide. I would bring all my ships from Braavos to your calling - but I'm in a dire need to return to mine own company." She challenged him, staring with sharp eyes - but she knew he would not give in. She could tell that the wars oppressed in this place were just as dire as the one she was fighting.

"God be good." she whispered. "What are you going to do with me, until you discover how much of a waste of time I am to you, people?"
